Title: PCR Night Sights
Post by: bm303 on July 15, 2016, 08:52:51 PM: I am going to buy a PCR this week. My only complaint are the stock sights. What exactly do I need to buy to put night sights on this gun? I am a novice with gunsmithing so I will need to pay someone to install these. Is this something I can trust a local gunsmith to install?

Here's the options I am looking at:

Ok cool. So I need to buy those and then I also need to buy a front sight, correct? Would you mind telling me what front sight I need?

I am a total noob when it comes to sights so bare with me lol. Kind of sucks having to spend another $150+ on sights + install but whatever.

Post by: doc171 on July 17, 2016, 06:12:23 PM: They are a set offered by CZC custom. I paid $140 for them and bought a couple extra items for around $10 to install them. Go to CZC Custom and put in search bar PCR sights.

Ty. So the CZ set will come out to about $60 more than the CGW set. I just need to decide if it's worth it over the MePro's.

Yeah, I have the mepros on my BD and they are fine but just realize that the mepros leave a gap (cosmetic only) on the PCR slide because of the different rear sight cut on the PCR.

But I still shoot left and it shot left from the factory, Irritating. I went with these because it's the same set up as my Glock 17 Warren Tactical sights, which I'm dead on with.

I think its the angle of the picture - same gun and same rear sight - does not look nearly as large here

Post by: bm303 on July 19, 2016, 04:03:42 PM: My PCR will be here Friday. The MePro's come out to $70ish and the CZ Custom rears and fronts come out to about $150. Still undecided. This gun will be used strictly for carry as my SP-01 is my range/HD gun. Leaning toward saving the money and going with the MePro's since I don't really care that much about the cosmetics if its only going to be carried. If they were equivalent in price I would definitely take the CZ Custom set though.

the meprolight / tru dot are nice sight. but dont fill the gap. its really cosmetic thing as I have not seen any issue with it.

Post by: bm303 on July 20, 2016, 08:40:04 PM: Thank you Stuart and everyone else who has helped. I went with the CZ Custom sights. Debated on ordering the Coco bolo grips but ended up not. I love the rubber but they are a bit thick for carry. I figure I'll get them another time if I am not happy with the stock grips.

Ordered my CGW Ultra-Lite Kit already. May as well go all out with this one since I won't be happy if I skimp on anything ;D
