Title: CGW pictures
Post by: armoredman on October 20, 2016, 11:32:41 PM
You KNOW I had to start this one off!

My daily carry P-09 received the excellent Pro Package treatment and it rocks! Updated the original poster with the new and far more awesome CGW logo.

Surplus 1999 CZ 75 D Compact with a steel frame (unusual configuration). Thorough overhaul by CGW with Pro Package (stainless ring hammer), front FO sights, rear EZ/D sights, worn out polycoat replaced with blued finish and beavertail reshaped. Standing, 2-hands unsupported at 25 yards. It's not the shooter; it's the pistol, made easier with CGW magic. (http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161021/99888f492b0bb4ca34b58546ce7d21ea.jpg)

My first plastic full size 9mm, shot very successfully in bullseye matches in 2014, replaced by a heavier CGW CZ-97B"E" in 2015, but still used for demos at 100 and 200 yards from a bench.  Bought used, it is the standard for long range pistol accuracy and led me to the perfect size plastic gun, a P-07, from the local Academy Sports.  Also CGW equipped and a bullseye match winner.

Ok, I'll play.  My Rami 9mm with CGW Pro Package.  It was a good little gun before the upgrades.  Now it is exceptional.

armoredman, I understood this comment: "You KNOW I had to start this one off!" but I read the rest of the post and posts from others.  I liked the Cajun touch with a spice or spicey picture.  CGW is not in my budget.  I liked all pictures on this subject!  I should not look at some pictures (my joke).  I also like photography.  I do not want to know what my trigger pull weight is on my stock CZ P-09 (9mm).  The pull did not make me think about it during the my first 40 rounds fired.  Trigger drag and creep bothers me with rifle triggers.  I will exercise my only CZ P-09 in with stock parts unless I want to change after I save some cash for parts or service.  Nice pictures.  The name CZ to me used to mean CZ rifles and original Dan Wesson revolvers.
DeltaGray being quiet for now.  I think that I need to visit the range soon.  I must be getting a fever again (a joke)--well, I need some more range time therapy.

Cardiac it is not SS it is Robar NP3 plus. David sent it out and then reassembled with his parts. I like the look and cleans up so easy. Never worry about rust.

This is the only one that has been down to Louisiana.  It made that journey four or five years ago.  Since then there have been many, many more upgraded by my friend up here.  This is still my very best gun and the trigger continues to get better and better.  My satin nickel Compact 75 with the Cajun Spice and recently added 10x bushing and Truglo TFX sights.  Thanks again, David.

Very nice.  When the budget allows I may have a new project.  Thanks.

But there goes my excuse for a second Rami.

Thanks! Just skateboard tape. No, I haven't made a pattern yet but I think I will in a week or so. I just cut little slits or triangles where there are changes in the angle.

I only have two CZ pistols, but at least I'm smart enough to have had both Cajunized!  I couldn't be happier with the work they did  on my CZ75 Compact and PCR.  Both have their "Defensive Carry Packages", improved sights installed, crowned barrels, and stainless steel recoil spring guides.  Fantastic pistols for EDC!

My second SP-01 Compact made it back from Cajun Land. Thanks Scott for the help! It's sole purpose is to be a 1911 killer. The trigger break is fantastic and with the CGW bushing accuracy should be exceptional. Scott thinks this pistol will hurt people's feeling on the range [emoji48]. Now I just need to go find some innocent 1911 enthusiasts and see their responses. Thanks again Scott!

I just installed a bunch of cajun spice on my 75B SA. Was emailing back & forth because I was just going to go with the full pro package, Micah says that package was mainly for DA/SA setups, and put together a list of parts that is tailored for the SA. Here's a pic before the transformation (more added later).
(https://preview.ibb.co/ktQTQa/cz5.jpg) (https://ibb.co/cRucJv)

After installation, polishing, tuning and removing FPB, the transformation is amazing. All the extra trigger movement is gone and super slick, very crisp release of hammer from sear and the immediate reset is a thing of beauty. Here's what she looks like now :) I love the looks of the stainless ring hammer and added that to my list because of the money I saved by not going with the pro package.
(https://preview.ibb.co/muv1dv/cz1.jpg) (https://ibb.co/jMKSJv)

The latest addition, replacing 13# hammer spring with the 11.5# version, 10X bushing (for 40 \ SP-01), a new 9mm SP-01 barrel, a 9mm extractor and a stainless FLGR. With the heavier SP-01 barrel and FLGR, the balance is perfect. This pistol is so accurate and responsive , it's pretty remarkable. It is my favorite pistol now. This can be habit forming ;)
I polished the SP-01 barrel and 9mm extractor because no cost bling is always welcome. Sights are TFX (for my aging eyes).
(https://preview.ibb.co/fGxEyv/cz2.jpg) (https://ibb.co/cJU55a)

Thank You CGW for making these CZ's more amazing.

Sharp looking compact, like me the lettering on the slide really pops out plus the contrast with the trigger & hammer. I'm waiting for my P-01 that's in jail to come home so that I can add a lot of cajun spice. Good job. My trigger pull gage came in and my SA recorded a 2.4 lb pull, whereas my TS came in at 1.8 lb  ;D.I love all of my cajun spiced CZ's. Your pic makes waiting for my P-01 which is already rough, rougher. CGW, you guys are awesome.

So.... These are the first photos I've seen of you having the TS LH safety machined for better fitment along the lines of this Compact SP-01. Did David do that for you, or? Was a belt sander the tool of use, and any coating needed after machining it down??

TIA,

K.

A sharp eye! I did it.
Very carefully marked the edges of the safety where the line of the frame is. Then took some alcohol to the back side of the safety to clean off any oil. Hit it with some 800 grit sand paper to make it easier for my sharpie to mark it. Then marked my line with a ruler. Used a belt sander. It's gets hot, quickly. Keep some water close by to cool it frequently. I don't have the ability to refinish it at my place, so I just keep it oiled.

https://cajungunworks.com/product/85c/

85c trigger that comes in the pro package (non production legal) for the pcr

The shadow might not have the pretravel screw. I'm at the firehouse so I can't look right now, sry

The pcr  has the reach reduction so it looks less curved especially in single action

Have to show off my CZ with it's new CGW Thin Olive Alum Grips,  I have somewhat smaller hands (I heard that!!) and these really improve my grip.  I haven't been to the range yet, However just from the feel I know my shooting is going to improve, Will post a report after I do some range work. I would also like to give a "Shout Out" to CGW, What a Great Co. to deal with. I would recommend their service to anyone!!

I was playing mix and match and this is what I came up with, love the way it feels in the hand and a very balance pistol. I might have to remove the fpb because the lever was replaced by the spacer in the sear cage in order to shoot it. Reminds me why I like my 1911 commander (the 1911's are crying now because they haven't seen a range for a while)

Surplus 1999 CZ 75 D Compact with a steel frame (unusual configuration). Thorough overhaul by CGW with Pro Package (stainless ring hammer), front FO sights, rear EZ/D sights, worn out polycoat replaced with blued finish and beavertail reshaped. Standing, 2-hands unsupported at 25 yards. It's not the shooter; it's the pistol, made easier with CGW magic. (http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161021/99888f492b0bb4ca34b58546ce7d21ea.jpg)

Nahh, someone still had to pull the trigger.  That is excellent shooting.
