Title: vz.52 to 57 to 58

An interesting example of the forefather to the VZ.58 and a bastardized version of what the VZ.58 might have been.

Shooting it -- to gunlab: http://gunlab.net/shooting-the-czech-model-52-police-carbine/

I saw this before, but searching, it appears it was most likely this firearm blog post: http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2014/12/12/cz-52-police-carbine/

But personally, I'd much rather have in original configuration...  Those 52/57s have seemed pricey relative to the Vz 58s, but with VZ2008s now hitting $700, the 52/57s seem much more affordable...
And quite frankly, if ammo availability/cost wasn't a concern, the 52 7.62x45 Czech caliber would be perfection IMO.  Much preferred to an SKS for me.  YMMV.

Looks kind of like a Russian Soviet PPsH-41 much like a VZ-58 looks like an AK-47.

Yeah I agree, esp. with that heat shroud around the barrel.   Someone else posted the same comment on the Gun Lab site.
