*** I don't know why the moderator moved this posted from CZ Long Guns to Curio & Relic (under Pistols). The vz 24 is a long gun. ***
Here is a video by Hickok45's son John, shooting the VZ24 (Zbrojovka Brno:)

Alas, its Hickok junior who is doing the talking, his videos are slightly on the cringworthy side. The rifle is worth looking at though, I have not seen one on the market in its former native lands.

I came across an old Zbrojovka Brno rifle at a small-town gun show last year, but the seller wanted a lot more for it than I was willing to pay. It was however in great condition. It's a shame that they don't allow photo-taking at the shows, otherwise I'd have posted a picture.

My wife bought me one for Christmas last year. I love it and need to drag it out of the safe for some range time. Fun guns to shoot pumpkins with.

I added a vz 24 BRNO 8mm Mauser to the collection a while back but didn't have time to post photos.
I picked it up at a gun show. The hardware and stock was in good shape and bore was in fine condition.
It was missing the front blade sight, sight shroud, cleaning rod, bayonet and scabbard. Since then I have found and fitted all but the cleaning rod. The bayonet was for this actual version.
I also found the right stripper clips, though I had to adjust a couple to properly work with the 8mm snap caps.

Business end without bayonet and scabbard "fixed" and then with them.
Adverb is from the military command "Fix bayonets!"
Side note: there are specific laws prohibiting carrying a rifle with a bayonet attached except in specific locations in Texas.
No, I didn't learn this the hard way!
