How annoying. Went to swap out the right side safety for the HBI that was delivered today. 1.5mm hex and one twist and it's stripped. So annoying. Guess I'll just take the dremel to the stock safety selector and shave off the protrusion for now.

clean it up really well, as in degrease it, and try super gluing the wrench in the screw.
-
Once I calmed down, this came to mind. Will give it a go when I can source a new screw. Thanks for the tip!
-
Please don't put super glue in that screw...LOL! You will end up doing more harm then good!

lol Going to try a T6 or T8 torx later. I have new screws from HBI on their way. :)

Take it from someone that has handle more of these than most anyone ever will...just get the dremel...you'll save time in the long run. I know it sucks but it is what it is.
Had this happen on a few lowers or got them in from customers that had the same issue (We charge extra to fix it though lol).
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I agree with SE's previous post...just get the Dremel out. :)

Ha. Will do!

I thought I stripped my screw too but it turned out I stripped the wrench that I had... not sure if it was the wrench that came with the aftermarket safety or what, but I went to the store and bought a new wrench and got it out very quick after that.

I have a spare screw that I ordered when I got a replacement Trigger Group screw. I'd be happy to mail it to you if you like. It's only a stamp. PM me your info if you want it

try a dab of jbweld or quick on the tip of the hex wrench, let it sit a few hours to set and should come right out. just acetone them both first

That's awesome, thank you! I already ordered replacement upgraded ones from HB Industries. Much appreciated! I'll attack this thing over the weekend with the dremel. Already have the replacement right-side safety. Not at all worried about the stock one. :)
Thanks everyone. I'll update!
