Anyone have an aftermarket bolt handle?
http://gladesarmory.com/cz455-tactical-bolt-handle/113/cz455-tactical-bolt-handle-oversized-tactical-knob.html
Considering getting one, but not sure if it will impact headspace. Would it impact headspace or unlikely? I have an email to the glades guys.

If you have a scope watch out for clearance while cocking. Gets tight with just the small handle on some scopes.

I know, I was worried about that. But, they claim to have them tested against 3-9x40 scopes and they clear.

You can make any scope clear with a base and ring setup that is high enough. The American and tactical stocks have a low-bore check weld and ideally you need your scope to line up with that. The other option is to add a stock pad to raise your head.

What was the response from the e mail regarding head space?

Nothing yet from them. It doesn't bode well for them if they can't answer customer emails.

Unless headspacing was something they had not thought about, and they are doing their due diligence and actually checking instead of just slinging you a line and hoping.....

Nothing yet from them. It's been a few days. Hoping the email got lost in space. I sent another one just in case.

Will keep fingers crossed for you. Not answering mail is bad business practice at best, plain old rude at worst.

I got a response from these guys to my second email. They said out of hundreds of these they sold, only 2 have had complaints. I assume with this response, they are saying there is no headspace issue. Not being a gunsmith, I don't know if I would know there was a headspace issue with a gun I own. Not sure what would happen if the headspace wasn't right or how to test.

Too much headspace and you can lose accuracy. Too little the bolt might be hard to close, or not close at all.
You can check headspace using Plasti-guage, available from auto parts stores. I think minimum is .043". If you're interested in the process I'm sure SD, Ronnie, or myself could fill you in.

I just got one of these bolt handles, and the clearance is not as good as the stock handle. I have included pictures. I am using a DIP 0 MOA rail, Zee medium height rings, and stock everything else. I ordered a set of Zee high rings to see if that will allow more clearance for the handle to cycle the bolt.
