Hello everyone! I recently picked up my first CZ, a P-01 Convertible/Omega in black! Took me a couple of years to finally make the purchase. I had noticed through researching this particular model, that many people had reviews or experience with the P-01 but not this particular model. Thought I'd share some pics and celebrate the new purchase with people who I know can appreciate it. I've already used these forums for plenty of information, so I registered to be part of the community.

reminds me of when i first got mine Larry...congrats man. you must be excited. the omega is tough to find...i'm currently searching for another. did you pick this one up locally?
-
thanks!!! I'm very excited. I'm very close to their Kansas City location and I did pick it up locally. As I'm told, the omegas are indeed hard to find, so I consider myself very lucky to get my hands on one.

i'm guessing you snagged the only one they had. it's my favorite compact by far that i own. of course the only thing i fancy above it is a sphinx 3000 tactical 9mm which would never happen.

Congratulations on on obtaining a true unobtainium ...I would love to find one!

thanks! So this model is confirmed to be difficult to get? I knew you guys would have the knowledge. Though I've been able to shoot a p-01 before, I haven't had the chance to shoot this one just yet. Hopefully I get a chance in the next few days. I did notice that this one did not come with an NSN number, I'm assuming because of the omega trigger group. I had the choice between this model and the urban grey omega (suppressor ready), but chose the black omega as the need for a threaded barrel and suppressor sights wasn't necessary.

What symbol is that next to manufacture date and looks like a letter P right of it. Past CZ's there's the cip n with Czech coat of arms symbol by year date.

Congrats!
Shoot a few hundred rounds and report back, especially on a the DA pull.

It has been noted in a few other threads that 2017 dated CZ pistols have the triangle and the circle-P proof marks instead of the typical Czech-lion over a letter "N"

I'm not the greatest shot, but this was more than satisfactory my first time out with the p01 at about 10m. DA pull was very good with the omega trigger group. a little bit of "grain" in the first part of the pull but the break was perfect. I'm sure the grain will go away after a few hundred more rounds. I'd say the original DA pull from the older style, non omega p01 was a bit better but the SA on the omega trigger was phenomenal. not a single issue with about 250 rounds the first time out as to be expected. Awesome gun and probably my new favorite.
