Ordered my scorpion carbine through local gun shop. Arrives Friday, I already have trigger show and spring kit from HB Industries. Just wondering whats the chance it will come with welded trigger pack?
-
More than likely it will have a welded trigger pack.

Be not afraid. Drilling the screw out through the trigger guard is easy and fast. The replacement hardware kit from HBI is excellent.
-
most recent builds are not welded. think they stopped shipping those a few months ago

Bought mine last week. It was welded.

You might want to wait until it arrives. I know that I was pre-emptive when I ordered my carbine last week and got both the replacement screw kit and drill bit from HBI expecting one thing, and got a non welded trigger pack. granted the cost of the kit wasnt that expensive, but it is still now just a bag of screwes that I dont need.

The expensive carbide drill bit is unnecessary, as drilling through the trigger guard is vastly simpler than trying to go through the weld. The screw head is very soft and you can drill through it in 20 seconds with any cheapo drill bit. You can almost turn the bit by hand.

That was my experience. I used a bit from my standard drill bit set. The head isn't hardened by the weld like the other side is.

Man, I wish I'd have known this before I went through all those bits and ended up buying the HBI bit :-\

Already owned a heavy enough bit set but sure woulda saved myself alot of time, they had so much weld on the top on my screw it was curled over like a soft serve icecream cone

I ordered my Scorpion Carbine last Wednesday from Grabagun.
Would someone please post the first half of the S/N that had a non welded trigger pack?
How can I tell the manufacturing date?
Thanks so much.

Just update. No weld. Replaced trigger spring, shoe and mag release with hb industries products. Yesteray slapped vortex prism scope on it and shot about 200 through it.
All i need now is a sling and more ammo. Great fun gun.

I bought my Scorpion about 3 weeks ago and it had a welded trigger . A buddy of mine bought his a day later and didn't have the welded trigger. I know another guy that got his a few days ago and it had the welded unit. It is a very simple fix.

My Scorpion carbine arrived today. S/N C223xxx
No weld or collar. There is a "17" on the bar code card in the info packet. That may mean 2017.
Trigger pull is about 7.5 pounds. Everything looks perfect.
