Some of the other areas of the forum post pics of their CZ's......just curious to see what some folks have put there Kadet Kits on, and the kind of ideas they may inspire in others.....this is mine 8)

How's it work? ;D

I've not been a long time Kadet shooter, but I will say they are some of the most fun guns I've shot. The full size steel frame/slide with the 22 round is effortless and oh so accurate. The variations of what folks have done thus far are really cool.....finishes, supressors, SAO, grips, sights, scopes, Tristar......WOW!!.....can't wait to see more of the same, something more stock, or something else ;D
-
:( :( :( :( :( :( :(
Same old boring Kadet. Changed the grips a couple of times and shoot it whenever I make it to the range. Never jams, shoots small groups, fires every time, feeds crummy bulk pack, pretty boring.

Thought there might be more KADET pride out there ;D ;D ..........hopefully everyone's pics will inspire and build some more of that pride for the little guys (22's) on the block :)

The thing is...on every metal frame CZ (well, not the VZs or the 83) pistol, I see a Kadet too (not necessarily 2) [emoji3]Most fun .22lr pistol to shoot.

Picked up a pre B 75 in great condition. Thought I would see how the Kadet fits on it. Has anyone else tried this?
The original Pre B sights are pretty poor.

The kit will probably fit. The issue 'might' be mag fit. If you're willing to modify the frame, if necessary, it should be no issue.

Scanned your thread...did it "completely" fix your trigger pull?

It's better but I still can't make a big ragged hole. The vertical spread got reduced from 10 to12" to about 3 or 4". The only thing is that now I shoot a bit to the left.

Just can't accept that there is no other Kadet inputs......the ones thus far have been very much appreciated and informative, just trying to kickstart this thread again. Can't believe there hasn't been ANY entry in this Kadet part of the forum for a week now :(
I did shoot my Kadet a couple of days ago with my son and father-in-law.....its always a favorite on the range ;D

I do love that Frame of your, CZA
From the original post.......just an FYI, the frame I stripped down and did a Brownell's Cold Blue to it, which kind of gave it a marble like blueing which really looks pretty cool in person, pics really don't do it justice 8)

I don't know, (the pics) look pretty good to me
Which Brownell's Cold Blue did you use, the 44/40, Dicropan "IM" or Oxpho ?
I use their Oxpho to blue the Beaks on the UpLula-Ks after I mod them

Oxpho....it was in my head to specify, just didn't make it into the post ;D
-
I really like using Oxpho Blue
Even when bluing a small piece like the Loading Beak (on the UpLULA); you can get almost any depth of color you want
From a mock parkerizing, to a deep "Colt" Blue
The more you burnish the piece, the deeper and richer the color
The trick is; after your last application, where you've gotten to the color you're after, rinse the whole piece with clean Oil
This helps set the final color

-
Thanks! This SP01 tactical was my first CZ and I jumped right in and ordered / installed the CGWs pro package right after buying it. I did go with a heavier hammer spring so I could switch back and forth to the 9mm/Kadet side without too many light strikes with the Kadet.
-
So a purebred :) , how does the red dot work...is it a plus at longer/shorter distances or both?
Its a plus at 13-15 yards and beyond for accuracy and getting shot off quickly - distances you'd start to really bear down on the front/rear sight.
Inside that its not really faster than iron sights, and in fact could be slower if you don't practice with the optic.

Have you had any issues with the kit for the P09? I am debating on ordering one for mine but I wanna be sure I have a good chance of being issue free.
-
So far so good. The first shot threw me by surprise because for some reason I was expecting the recoil of the 9mm.
Anyway, see these posts.

Thanks Tok. CZ Custom did the sight work. I can't say enough about their craftsmanship, the rear sight in particular came out perfect.

Here is mine on a 40 SA frame. Cajun hammer and adj. sear, double adj trigger and upgraded trigger spring and pin. Crisp 2.8 lb trigger pull.
Rail installed with four 8-40 screws and a Ultra Dot 30mm on top. Considering lower, more attractive rings.

My B-SA Kadet’s. Definitely my favorite .22’s
Would like to do fiber optic front sights on both kits in the future.
The SA frames have a few CGW bits, I might look into some competition hammers down the road but these stockers don’t really cam much and break pretty clean.

Sweet 1980, Blackwatch! I use a plain jane 1991 frame with the #17 mainspring for the dedicated Kadet to enjoy the pre-B trigger. It’s what I also let new or less experienced pistol shooters initially use to build comfort and confidence before stepping them up. Hmmm...so plain jane that I can’t seem to locate any photos of this rig [emoji3]

Not much of anything special. I mounted a Kadet II kit on my CZ-75B frame (my first pistol ever) and just added CZ rubber grips. I am thinking of adding a fiber optic front sight but I am having trouble in deciding what size to order? I had Dawson Precision in mind. ???

Glued and screwed on a SCATT mount on the rail of my SP-01 Shadow wich i often use with the kadet conversion kit.
On that mount i can bolt a SCATT.
I seized that idea from a book, by Reinkemeier and Bühlmann -they trained the first indian olympic gold shooter- written with collaboration of many good shooters. I started shooting 3 years ago and like to gain ground to approach competing with the old stagers in the shooting club.
My surrounding region germany is ruled by the "discovery of slowness". Because of the goverments reactions to the epedemic flu all gun ranges are closed since this week. And schools, kindergardens, my workplace, clubs, some borders, some shops. To stay at home is recommended even curfews are set at the moment.
So the shooting training is at home and in dry fire modus only. With the SCATT mounted i can practise at home and see the computed hits and the path of aiming on the screen. Plus statistics. Seeing the ball of wool like aiming line i can try to get it tighter. And realising the meanderings and deviations when pulling the trigger in replay helps trying to correct towards a better neutral hold and pull. I started shooting in my late fourties and decided to nerd in a little to catch up to the level of my shooting colleagues with decades of experience. I am sure that all can be learned with the same amount of training without the SCATT in regular dry fire and hot fire exercises. But i like the graphics aid and revelation what is happening watched in this way. It also can be used up to some caliber shooting our firearm live and on the regular distance on black circular targets. Indoors or outdoors, dry-fire or live fire, 10m Air or 1000m High Power, real distance or reduced distance simulated training wich i do at home. So the printet target is scaled down to my indoor training distance.
SCATT mounted on air pistol Steyr evo 10, home drill distance set on 4,8 meter

Ok now you got me interested. Want to do the same sight setup on my kadet 2. What rear sight is this. Does it just mount on or is milking of the rear sight notch needed.
Thanks for any assistance
-
Not sure if you'll hear from that Pistol's Owner
But YES, there is Milling involved in mounting that Sight Set
And I believe that is the Rear Sight for the CTS-LS
(https://cdn.cz-usa.com/hammer/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/cz-75-shadow-cts-ls-p.png)
-
Thanks for the heads up. I couldn’t get a definitive answer on which sight pairing would be a drop in. I know a shadow 2 sight was mentioned in other posts but couldn’t determine a front sight. I know it depends on how it prints when I shoot it with my preferred ammo.
Didn’t think milling was an option since there isn’t much material on the rear of the slide
