I ran into a used one today. it is the size of a CZ P-01. Probably takes the same mags. It looks to be stainless frame and slide with cocking serrations on the very front of the slide that match the rear. He wanted $425.00 out the door. Just curious if they do make SS version and what may be the value. I just thought it was unique and may trade a Tristar for it. Since I have 3.
Any info appreciated. I will go back and look at it closer in the morning.

Mine appears to be hard chrome...not stainless....but it's early 1990's vintage...and it's labeled Tanfoglio, not Witness:

A stainless Witness compact is currently listed for right around $500, new, but I don't think it's SP-01 style....
There is a similar model in full-size with a Picatinny rail. add about $40

The Steel Carry kind of looks like an SP-01. It may have been available with "Wonder Finish"

There was a very very limited run of Stainless Steel 9mm Witnesses made around 1994 or so, but these were only Full Sized models. Before the "Wonder Finish", which is a Silver Grey Tennifer Finish, Industrial Hard Chrome was the alternate Finish to Bluing. Although these alternate finishes are attractive, I would not pay a premium for them.
The Tombstone Tactical Ad is in error. Those Pistols are NOT made of Stainless Steel. That is the "Wonder Finish".
My 2004 .45 Witness has the "Wonder Finish".

Interesting!
I did not know that they ever made a stainless witness??
anyway, the ones shown sure look like the Wonder finish to me, as JWC mentioned its a silver tennifer type finish.
I have 2 of them an older model and a new model and many mistake them for a brushed stainless.
I also have a witness elite match that has a Hard chrome frame, it also looks like a polished stainless but its not.
the wonder finish has held up well for me so far.

My wonder finish only shows wear around the trigger guard and back strap but it looks more like polishing than wear.

The wonder finish is great. I have a compact wonder finish with stainless barrel. Carried it for a little while in Tampa in the middle of summer. Funny the crown of the stainless barrel showed corrosion but the frame and slide had absolutely none.

I recently picked up a wonder finished compact at a pawn shop. The finish was very stained. I can tell you that Flitz polish and some elbow grease worked wonders on the wonder finish.
