Title: My Model Z
Post by: rdcinhou on June 02, 2017, 08:45:07 PM
This cute little CZ is even smaller than my CZ 45. I made up the case with an appropriate logo like I've done for my other small C&R CZs.

After winning it on a Gunbroker.com auction, I found that it was missing the firing pin spring guide rod.

Thanks to czechollector for giving me the proper dimensions for this part from his "Z".  I should have one delivered shortly to be able to safely take it to the range and shoot.

In handling it, since it is so small I think it might be better to use your middle finger on the trigger instead of your index finger. That would enable you to keep your index finger straight along the slide and help with "pointing" at the target.

Now CZ just needs to make that pistol in 10mm, 45 acp, 40 S&W, and 9mm for the modern man to conceal carry!  O0

Joking aside, that's a cool pistol! Looking forward to hearing how it shoots.

Otto, DUO was produced since 1936 until 1948 in the small town of Opo?no (Southern Bohemia), the factory was owned by Mr. Du?ek. After 1948, the factory was "nationalized" and production of this pistol was moved to Strakonice under the name CZ model Z. So, basically it is the same gun, but production took place somewhere else.
