So, I really like CZ pistols... I'm not loaded with $$$ so my little collection is exclusively CZ pistols right now. It's not that I hate other brands, makes, and models, I just found a sweet spot and haven't gotten anything else since I started into CZ's.
That being said, what other brands and models do you love that are not CZ's? Revolvers, old school, striker fired, plastic, and so forth. What is it that you love about them? What caliber do you shoot them in or most enjoy them in?
-
I know your affinity for CZ's is as strong as mine. You may want to investigate CZ's cousin, either EAA or Tristar/Canik. I have all 3 and while there is more after market parts available for the CZ, thanks to CGW & CZC, there are upgrade parts available for the others. Some items such as springs will actually interchange. The grip and feel is very similar as well. I have observed the finish on the internal parts is superior from the factory on EAA and Tristar. Mags are less expensive as are the pistols themselves. Grips will interchange. The one down side of EAA is in the front sight on the plain Witness model. It's part of the slide. The Match grade however is dovetailed to the slide. The Caniks are very nice as well and a huge bang for the dollar. There are very many models to choose from and offer hammer and striker fired pistols. Canik seems to really watch what is trending and comes out with models that address that niche at a low cost. I have the TP9v2 and it is a tremendous SA/DA, with a de-cocker pistol. Comes as a kit with a paddle holster 2- 18 rnd. mags, 2 back straps, cleaning bush and swab holder and lock in a fire molded case for low #3"s. Now I'm going to really throw one at you. Arex Rex Zero 1. Yah, I know. For mid $5's. It is a pleasure to shoot and is a very close clone to the Sig MK25. The internals are excellent. I did replace the main spring on my Arex and that helped lower the DA pull.

Not all my favorites are semi-autos. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170715/2fd12fcf90cf3825b43511183e0d82ca.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170715/ee0d80cb8c35bbdd249b95cb643d5988.jpg)

Other than a couple of single stack edc's, the only non-CZ I've held onto for any length of time is a Para LS Hunter 1911 10mm. I know many frown on Para's but I've enjoyed it quite a bit. The Ionbond finish is beautiful and it's fun to shoot.
The only problem is that I only take it out when I take friends or family to the range. Being a long slide and 10mm, it never fails to be the center of attention. It's plenty of 1911 for me and I haven't felt the need to spend more on a better brand. Up until very recently, I figured I'd keep it forever.
Well, a week or so ago I started obsessing over the TS Orange and then I held a Shadow 2. Tonight I put the Para on Armslist, and I have to admit I won't be sad if it doesn't sell. Now that I've removed the arched MSH and rubber palm swell grip panels I feel a little less attached. With those pieces, it felt almost CZ'ish in my hand.
Long story short, I guess I'm pretty one dimensional as a pistol owner. TSO, S2, or maybe even a Witness Hunter LS 10mm, that's the new dilemma.
-
These are great, keep em coming!
Clones, definitely considered! Especially since I've wanted a 10mm and Tanfoglio makes their Hunter and offers their other pistols in 10mm too.
A new shooting friend doesn't cowboy shooting. That's an excuse to look into revolvers... So much to learn there.
The Arex Rex Zero looks fantastic, since I've wanted to try Sigs and this looks like an exceptional clone!
-
I like all kinds of pistols...walther, h&k, sig, s&w, fn, beretta....but if i cant bring a CZ to tge range, it would be my 5" PPQs.

I own Glock's, M&P's, Walther's, Sigs, H&K's etc. Love my CZ's but the two pistols that I'm most accurate with are my Tanfoglio Match Elite 9mm and Rock Island 9mm 1911. Those two pistols always go with me whenever I go out shooting.
-
My favorite range gun is a 6 inch Ruger GP100 .357 magnum.
-
Some good responses above.
Can't argue with CZ centric logic of EAA's or Caniks; or something really different and classic like a 1911 or revolver.
I grew up in Springfield Mass where my Uncle worked at Smith for 40+ years; so I do enjoy my S&W PC-tuned 627-5 8 round 357 revolver; and of course my Springfield Armory 1911 in 45 ACP. Designs that have endured over a Century says something about their quality and reliability.
But; if you want to talk about bang-for-the-buck.......I just bought some 500 round bricks of Aguila HV 22LR for $22.50. Yup, that's 4.5 cents a round. Prices of 22LR have come back to reality and that's a ton-o-fun for a little over 20 Bucks!
I find I'm throwing my little Ruger SR22 extended barrel into my range bag more often these days; and dusting off some of those nice 22 rimfire pistols that have languished in the safe since ammo prices went crazy. I suppose a Kadet Kit for one of my CZ's might be a good investment and cheaper than buying yet another gun. O0
Plink'in is fun; and something the whole family can enjoy too.
-
For me, it's my Walther PPQs in both 9mm and 45 ACP. I'm very accurate with both and they are so enjoyable to shoot. Those are followed closely by my Sig P226 9 mm and P220. If I had to choose only one of those four to keep it would be the PPQ 9mm.
-
Short version of rambling below: I enjoy shooting anything, but end up spending money on a CZ.
Being relatively new to all this, my first was a Sig P220 Match Elite. Then found CZ and ended up with a 75B, P-01, P-09 and finally a 97B.
I ended up selling the P220 because I wasn't even vaguely accurate with it compared to the 97B and had spent twice the money. As beautiful as that Match Elite was, I learned I couldn't really justify spending 2-3 times the money to be no more accurate than my CZ's.
I've got a pre-lock stainless S&W 686 6" and a M&P22 that satisfies my need for something different and enjoy shooting friends' pistols. I've had good luck with a PPQ 5", but just haven't bought it yet. I'd rather find an ugly 75 and go all Scarlett Pistol on it and end up as-accurate for the same money and have a prettier pistol.
Pardon the Saturday morning ramble without really answering the question...

My favorite center fire semi-auto is the Colt 1911 type (all mine just happen to be Colt's).
My favorite rim fire semi-auto is the Ruger Mk1. Bought mine new about 35 years ago. My brother told me he never new a handgun could shoot like a rifle till he saw me shooting that Mk1.
My favorite revolver is my S&W 586 with a 6" barrel. The most accurate .357 magnum I've ever fired.
-
These are great, keep em coming! With so many, I don't know if I'll be able to respond to each but I'm reading each one and appreciate all of them!
-
CZ's are the only auto loaders at this time. My other love is DA revolvers. 2 big bore .44 mag Rugers. Got an old Smith Highway Patrolman .357 also. Don't particularly care for the newer Smiths, but like the older ones.
Even like the Ruger SA's. So I try to be an equal opportunity shooter.
-
I shoot IDPA and some uspsa, so my preferences are for guns I can employ in those games. That said my non CZ gun preferences include S&W 625, 627, 64 and 3" 24, as well as a E series 1911. I'm also quite taken with my Ruger WC GP 100. Am currently using the GP in this season's IDPA matches with some success.
I have other brands as well- SIG, XD, Glock, HK and do like them, but if I had to choose only 1 other brand (God forbid), it would be S&W.
Next IDPA season, I'll be shooting my P01 omega and looking forward to it.

Good 1911 semi-auto pistols and pre-1980 S&W revolvers.

Pre 1980?? What was different after 1980?
I'm curious since I've got four of them made in the (very) early 80's.
-
Other than my RAMI 2075BD, I have a SIG P320c. I love both guns and will use the RAMI as my EDC. I carried the 320 before I got the RAMI, but wanted a little smaller gun for EDC. Had a Shield 9mm, but never could shoot it like I wanted to, so I traded it in on the 320 and never regretted it. My wife carries a Shield 9mm and also shoots a SIG SP2022 9mm.

Because some guys think every Smith revolver MUST have a pinned barrel AND recessed cylinder. If your revolvers are early 80's, they may still have a pinned barrel but likely not a recessed cylinder. Smith was not using MIM parts or adding the God-forsaken internal locks until later. The finish/bluing will tend to be better on older specimens, but most will also have more wear. Pristine older specimens demand a premium price...and many revolver snobs stick them in a safe never to be shot and barely seen. Your revolvers are shooters, meant to be enjoyed, and are by no means pieces of junk. They will outlast you even if they are early '80's. By the way, I have revolvers from both eras...and enjoy shooting them all. Just my humble opinion.

3rd Gen S&W semi-autos, especially the DAOs. Blowback-operated pistols in .32/.380 ACP such as Walthers, Beretta 80 series, SIG P-230, Vz/CZ equivalents and more recently, the F?Gs from Hungary.

I started with a Sar B6P then got an IMI Jericho 914. After that a 22lr Witness slide that works with both frames, just a little better on the steel frame. The next one I got was a Canik c100 everyone should have one or more Canik. I just picked up a Scorpion carbine so now I guess I am going to be looking for CZ rifles before I get into the 75.
-
Besides CZ, I have an affinity for Berettas, namely the full-size PX4 D model. Love the smooth DAO trigger, the ergonomics, and just how much of a natural extension of my hand it feels. It (and it's 80xx-series Cougar siblings) also has the fastest shot recovery for me out of all the pistols I've owned, possibly due in part to the rotating barrel design.
-
Wilson Combat Beretta 92 or a Sig p226 Legion SAO always go along with the CZ's to the range.
-
Nice stuff. When it comes to wheelguns, when I can I prefer older Smith and Wesson 38 Spls, pencil or bull barrel. Autos...are you sitting down> I wanna HK vP70z. Why? I have no idea and yes, I've handled one and tried the trigger. I have had and carried a variety of oddballs like Astra A-80, (pull the trigger on Sunday, goes off about Tuesday), Star Firestar, (loved it, but heavy and SA), CZ 70, (many features on this little surplus gun not found on high end pocket pistols!), with a trigger that was a little brother to the Astra A-80, and of course, the mundane, Smith Model 59, Springfield 1911A1, EAA Witness 40, etc.
I want to try the APEX and the Sig 509, but I also have a casual lust in my heart for...wait for it...a Star M30, PK if possible. At this exact second, due to financial needs and pure blatant stupidity I have only CZ pistols in my handgun locker.
-
Recently acquired a Sig Legion 226 sao
I researched this gun extensively as it was a large purchase for me @ $1150
Now that I've had it for awhile and shot it a number of times, I absolutely love it.
It is the closest to perfect stock pistol I've ever shot.
Most every other handgun I own I've wanted to improve in some way via new grips:sights/trigger etc.
Not this one
Sights: outstanding combination of high visibility day and bright night sights
Grips: the perfect amount of aggressive, but comfortable non abrasive
Trigger: remarkably crisp 3lb break with an instantaneous reset
Accuracy: fantastic shoots holes through holes
Recoil: very mild, less than my 75b
All of these features work very well together and make this gun a pleasure to shoot.
It is not flawless tho, the slide stop/release is too close to the safety to manipulate easily
And I'm skeptical of the durability of the finish.
That said, I would buy it again in an instant.
-
I'm selling a bunch of guns because the P-10c scratches the itch those guns did.
However, I'm not selling my G-17L,40 or the G42. Those guns scratch itches the P-10 doesn't.

I am sticking to classic designs
Good 1911 is always welcome

Big bore revolvers: Smith and Wesson all the way:
22 pistols: Browning Buckmark.
-
I grew up and old on 1911s. You never forget your first love and they will always have a special place in my heart. I also like S&W revolvers, have 2 but don't shoot them often. Dan Wesson .44, strong and accurate, but a very crude DA trigger, great for blasting full power loads, but not too often. Some H&Ks, Kahrs and Walthers as well as Sigs. Would probably love the M&P if S&W would pull their heads out of their bums and produce a consistent quality pistol. As for Ruger their LCP makes a great backup. Almost forgot, High Standard .22s, the old ones.

Let's see......
Beretta, Models 84, 85, 92fs, 9000s, Nano
Makarov, have 4of them and a P83
Kimber, Micro 380
AMT, Auto MagII in 22 Mag
Kahr, CW9, CM9, CT380
-
Sig 226 SAO legion
-
IWI Jericho 941F
Ruger LC9s
Kahr PM9 and CT380
Kimber Micro 9
I really enjoy carrying the LC9s or the CT380. They almost disappear IWB. The only downside is having to carry extra mags. :)
-
Walther PPQ M1 and Sig 226 Legion. Bothe excellent right out of the box!

One of my favorites. One little inexpensive pistol in a caliber of ammo I ...dislike (380acp) ....nothing to do with the actual ammo, but because there is no reason for 380 ammo to be so expensive, is a pistol I once had and sold to help finance my P-07. A Bersa Thunder!! Perfect size, weight, feel, looks, ease of take apart and maintenance, and accuracy. Hammer fired, decocker/safety combination Another words....a near perfect concealed carry firearm if it were in 9mm!!!!
-
I like my CZ's but also enjoy many other pistols like my Colt Gov. model and Sig 220, 245, 238, 938. If I'm in the mood for a 22lr I love my S&W 41. But I must admit my love of S&W double action revolvers like my model 14-3 , 19-2 , 21-4 , 25-5 , 27 , 29 and my newest toy a model 69 I even like shooting the little sub 2" J frames like the 640 and 642.
Now that I'm retired I hit the range 5 or 6 times a month and fire in excess of 18,000 rounds a year. When it comes to every day carry it's my Rami BD in cool weather and my Sig P938 or S&W 642 in the summer.
-
I like shooting my Browning Hi Power MKIII, HK P7, Mauser P-08, and a few Colt 1911's. The CZ's are my favorites.
-
1911's and Ruger MKII pistols.
-
Started out with Walthers and still have 'em?PPQ M1, PPS M2, P99c (all 9mm)?.love the grips and the triggers?.and, to be honest, shoot them better right now than many of my CZs. Really like the paddle magazine release on the M1 and the P99c. Oh, and an S&W .22 Victory for some fun :-)
-
Love CZ, but have recently sold the only one I had - discovered that it was a tad too large of a grip for a quick and accurate draw:(. Eyeing the CZ P07 though.
But do like Glocks (I own a G17 and G19) as well as HK and Beretta. Also love 1911s.

Not a pistol but S&W revolvers, just got an R8, using it for competition.
-
Smith n weson revolver model 64 heavy barrel 38 special. Mine is double action only. For some reason the balance of the heavy barrel version is so good, If you watch the sights as you pull the trigger in double action the sights don't even move. It is very easy to shoot accurately. I am not a great shot but first time out I hit a 8x12" steel plate 60 times in a row at 23 yards in double action. The balance is just like voodoo. Southern Ohio gun has these for 300 bucks as surplus. Also wheel guns are just plain fun.
-
EAA Tanfoglio with a Full Size Frame is nice as you can convert it to basically anything... 9mm, 40S&W, 38 Super, 45ACP or even 22LR. I have an older one with 45 & 38 Super slides.
A Bersa Thunder is something I would like to buy because I do reload 380 ACP and would like something slightly larger and more shootable in that caliber.
But I am a 1911 Fanboy. Have built several from 80% frames and own several brands. After fixing and dealing with issues from PARA, SIG and Kimber I started making my own. My build of a 3.5in ramped Bull barrel 45 ACP Officer shoots better than my full size Kimber. So, I built an identical Twin in 9mm. Another sweet shooter if I do say...

Love the single shots.
XP 's and Contenders !!
-
I'm such a reborn gun noob. If it goes "bang" I will probably love it. Love my Colt Trooper. It's the first and only revolver I've owned. Other than my CZ, my Glocks, and Sig P226 are still solid, and I'm introducing an HK USPc into the mix. My Buckmark has dietary issues. It eats too much ammo.
My mix is 9mm, .40 s&w, and .22LR. I would love to get into .45 ACP but adding a new caliber is not high on my list with new laws going into effect next year in CA. More than likely I will get back into reloading.
-
Besides my CZs, I really love my Colt, Delta Gold Cup, and my 10mm Witness Semi Compact
I also have 8 Ruger Revolvers and a MkII Target
-
I love my Beretta 92 series pistols. 92FS Centurion, 92FS brigadier, M9A1, M9A3, 92G SD, 92D, and 92FS.
-
My CZs are my favorite except for my Walther P5. I also enjoy shooting my 5" GP100 along with my many other guns.

There's other guns?

I have a few favorites that are not CZ's.

My Ruger New Model Blackhawks in .357 Magnum. There's just something about carrying and shooting single action revolvers.

I keep looking at the Blackhawks also.

SP01Shadow.....I can see where you get your inspiration for the bluing work you do on revived CZs!

Definitely my Ruger GP 100 4" SS. Next is my wife's Ruger single-six in 22lr and it is a tax driver!!! Lastly is mt Sig trailside, I wanted this pistol for years and finally came across one a few years ago, finicky but when you feed it the ammo it likes, it is a great little 22 lr

I am all about the .22s; 8) glad ammo is starting to get reasonable.
-
I really respect and like my 1970s High Standard .22. I've babied it since I bought it. An old smith worked the trigger soon after I got it. Darn thing wore out two springs since then.
-
Always loved the look of the Beretta 92 series but always avoided them due to having "short finger syndrome". I just shot a buddies today and WOW...REALLY want one now!
-
Browning Hi Power for sure.
-
CZ is about my favorite, then the EAA (Tanfoglio) Witness, and then the 1911 of any medium to upper quality brand.

I finally ended my brand monogamy. I know... I didn't stray far. Here my new Tanfoglio Witness Hunter in 10mm! It's a sweet shooter, and so reflective that taking a picture with lights was basically beyond my photo skills. It's a blued finish, I think... They should just contract their blue finishing to SP01Shadow!(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170730/08a6ac38e58250d11fffe3f9891945ba.jpg)

My favorite brand is Walther but I also really like Colt and Beretta.
-
If it's all machined steel, or at least solid metal, I'll probably like it.
My non-CZ favorites:
1. Dan Wesson 715 (had to say that here) - very accurate, great trigger, just fun to shoot, and gotta love the interchangeable barrels (if you can find them).
2. Manurhin MR73 5.75" - yes I know it's French, but it's in a league of it's own for quality, trigger like glass right out of the box, and it's the only revolver I can shoot more accurately than my 715.
3. Makarov - so simple, so natural, and 9x18 is pretty inexpensive again. Some of the other ComBloc surplus guns aren't bad, either - perhaps because they are CZ's.
4. 1911 - must be on any list of this type. Oddly enough, of the 1911's that I currently have, it's the Kimber Ultra that I can shoot the best. Don't have a Valor yet, though.
5. Browning BuckMark - feels and shoots "so right" that a brick is gone before you know it. Works really well as a suppressor host after easy barrel upgrade, e.g. TacSol.
6. Kahr MK9 Elite - often overlooked and under-rated US-made gun. When I carry, this is it, due to size, simplicity and reliability.
Would post some pics but don't have the means to do nice ones at the moment.
NON-favorites:
A. H&K - I've had a lot of trigger time on several models (P30, P2000SK, HK45ct). Never a malfunction, work well suppressed, variety of grip and trigger options. Fine guns, but I just can't get *excited* about them. They don't stir the passion of a Luger or Mauser. Maybe it's the plastic.
B. Glock - Sheer utility, zero aesthetics. Like a plastic ball-point pen that you might use but never cherish or even remember.
-

"Glock - Sheer utility, zero aesthetics. Like a plastic ball-point pen that you might use but never cherish or even remember".
All they need is a little love. You can make them into a favorite. Like a diamond in the rough.

I tend to think of myself as a kind of equal opportunity pistol fan. But Beretta seems to lead in total number of pistol owned.
My recent exploration into the Px4 Storm series got me to the point of trying to decide wether a P07 or PX4 Compact was going to become my new primary carry pistol. The PX4 ended up getting purchased first and I have been doing modifications with Beretta factory available parts to make it fit my preferences for carry features. (low profile controls, decocker only, Ameriglo HD front night sights and a little stippling.) That little compact made me realize I had overlooked a pretty nice pistol platform for years. It carries well in appendix position and handles like a larger pistol. Many of the same qualities I think get overlooked by traditionalists with regard to the P07/P09 series CZs. The benefit of people underrating these pistols Is that I have been able to obtain barely fired or even unfired and pre-owned PX4 and P07 examples for under $400.

I don't have a pic to post at this time but, I really like my S&W 640 Pro......just a versatile house, carry, hiking, traveling kind of gun...yeah, its only 5 rounds (there are speed loaders) but it can be down-loaded to standard 38's or uploaded to 357's 8)
-
The best shooter in my arsenal is a Springfield XDM 40 full size. I put a Pachmayer grip on it that makes it a pleasure to drive tacks with. I also have a Sig Sauer P226 USPSA 9mm model that gives similar gratifying range time. Neither guns are great concealed carry option as have considerable weight and size, but they will stay in my gun rack.
-
I've bought from a lot of manufacturers and loved all of them (except the Glock G41). That's why I can still bring an assortment of CZs, Rugers, SIGs, Mausers, Walthers, HiPowers, 1911s, a Savage 1907, a Hi Standard G380 and a whole bunch of CommBloc pistols and enjoy every one of them.
That isn't even counting the revolvers.
Variety is the Spice of Life. I like Spice.

Canik and Tanfoglio both best pistol values you can find. The Turks and Italians make great firearms. Czechs and Germans, too.
-
I like my Beretta 92, all the torture tests indicate it to be very very reliable in adverse conditions which it better be for how heavy it is
-
Always liked a good commander-sized 1911 and that new Beretta APX is pretty sweet as well ;-)
-
Commander style 1911 in 45ACP...we're getting warmer now. OK, so what do I really, really want for my next handgun.....Yeah, a 97B or BD is really nice...but an FN FNX Tactical. 15 Rounds of pure 45ACP Joy. Surprisingly comfortable grip especially considering the capacity; with adjustable backstrap. Not overly fat like some double-stack 45's. Tall night sights ready to co-witness a quality optic that's set into the pre-milled slide. Decocker for DA that can also flip up for safety and function SAO Cock & Lock like a 1911. Really accurate and well thought out handgun IMHO. John Moses Browning would have been proud!
-
If not CZs, I seem to favor Walthers for some reason. Maybe it's the ergos?
I am fond of 1911s as well but am holding out for a DW Valor.
I'd love to add an FNP/FNX 45 to my list due to practicality of high capacity but worry about the grip size. If it is anything like an H&K USP's grip size, I should just end this curiosity immediately!
-
Slikshoes,
If you want a high capacity 45, You owe it to yourself to at least consider a FNH - FNX 45 Tactical.
You gotta find a LGS that has one and put in your hands. I have medium sized hands and I was pleasantly surprised at how the grip did NOT feel fat or oversized and 15 rounds of 45 ACP trumps anything else out there. Controls are so easy to get to and fully ambi for Southpaws and weak-hand tactical. Did not feel as fat as a Sig 227 or HK 45. A Beretta 92 feels like holding a potato compared. This gun is so well thought out. Yes, it's expensive, but by the time I milled another gun like a CZ 97 for optics, added correct co-witness night sights, (3)extended mags, flared magwell, etc. I'd spend more and have less. Reviews seem very favorable except you may need to run full power ammo during break-in. The tolerances are tight, but the trade-off is great accuracy and a very capable firearm.
You might not agree, but you should at least give it a good look-see.
Hey, I love my 9mm CZ's and I know my lust for this gun is showing, but I just gotta have one. O0
-
M1A4ME, after days flew by, I saw a Ruger Mark I rimfire mentioned. I have a Mark I and II but the Mark I was modified. Both have red dots but the Mark I was used in two years of Sportsman's Team Challenge. The Mark I barrel is fat and heavy that was cut off of a blank used on my Ruger 10/22 and had a good chamber cut. People like my stainless Mark II but I would not trade my Mark I for two other Mark's.
I like original Dan Wesson 44's. I like S&W revolvers for reasons but none are stock.
-
I love CZ and Beretta, the full size CZ 75 and Betetta M9 are my favorites. For striker fired polymer frame, I have a Walther PPQ.

7!! I wish, but my collection is growing. PPKS, '83 Colt Gold Cup, S&W Sheild Performance Center, CZ 75B. I have a P10c on order and I hope to see it before the end of the year! I shoot the Colt best, then the Sheild. I hope to get better with the CZ but it's still pretty new to me.

Beretta 96/92 family, although much respect for PX4sc and Nano. Here is my "first love" 96 Centurion NP3+ Norton Special refinish along with a fabulous 96A1 with 9mm conversion. Basically just need the 9mm barrel, but I matched it up with dedicated locking block and magazines.

I really like my Sig Sauer P238 SAS. It's my carry gun and with the extended magazine it fits me perfectly and handles like a regular compact (rather than the "micro" it is classified as). Also suprisingly accurate. Crappy ridged plastic trigger though, having it replaced with a nice smooth face, machined metal one as we speak.
I also really like 1911s and I'm planning on buying one in the next 6 months, but gotta save up cause I have champagne tastes lol.

Just recently acquired a DW Specialist Commander- wow, a great gun. Significantly better than my SIG and S&W 1911s.

Can't wait to get my paws around it's 15+1 of 45ACP.

I fixed it for you... you need to choose the links that use BBCode once you upload in order to just paste it in posts. It will then show up as a thumbnail that can be clicked for a larger image.
HOWEVER... I browsed the site on my tablet where I do not have adblocker... and, man, that site's ads are NOT kid-friendly. :-/
Let me do a bit of research and I'll post a sticky in the general section with a safe, simple step-by-step way to share images here. I'll try to have it up tomorrow evening. ;-)

Any love for the Alpha Project revolvers? I picked up the 9mm and it needed a little work. After corrected it is a very smooth revolver. If I was forced not to use a CZ gun I would use a Beretta Storm pistol and a Sig xi in 7.62x39 rifle.

I haven't posted any pics since Photobucket held us hostage. Wondering what's the best method now?? Is there a phone app?
You might check out imgbox.com. There is no dedicated mobile app but the website is mobile friendly.
OK...Let's give it a try to see if it works. Here's a couple of my Non-CZ Faves:

I've loaded images onto imgbox but I guess I'm doing something wrong; trying to move the image from imgbox.com to CZ Forum.

Thanks sOnspark, I'll look forward to getting an updated photo posting tutorial in the CZ General section. When I signed up for imgbox.com they gave me only the choice to Post as 'Family' content or 'Adult' content. Maybe I made the wrong choice posting under 'Adult'. :-\

When I am not shooting CZ's, I shoot the S&W Victory .22 and my Sig P320c.
I am thinking of a 9mm 1911, but have not decided on the Manu yet.

Sig P320 great gun....... Cain TP9sfx Race Gun it has the best trigger in the business....... my Walther PPS M2 great carry. I her more but don't want to bore...of coarse my 3 CZ's are not replaceable....

I shot my brothers S&W 686+ and that is a nice smooth shooting revo, really like it and considering getting one in the future. Also my wifes Springfied (bought before they stabbed us all on the back) EMP 9mm. The EMP is a fantastic shooting pistol with great feel, awesome factory sights and a nice factory trigger.

In the pistol-verse, I've owned many other offerings from a multitude of manufacturers.....but I just have to keep it real and say CZ is about it. Maybe its a comfort thing but I still "try" other things, they honestly just don't measure up..... ::)

besides cz, Ive only ever owned and spent considerable time with berettas and glocks. Ive shot and fondled pretty much everything else under the sun though. Still, I pretty much just stick with CZ, like you.
My glocks are and probably will always be my choice in concealed carry. But once im in the house or at the range the glock goes away and the CZs come out.

In many things in life, I find one thing I like and stick with it. I have played guitar professionally and, though I have owned many guitars, never more than one at a time (and since 1980, they were all made by the same luthier). I started with 9mm pistols when I began shooting and owned a few in succession until I acquired a CZ-75B, which I love and have had CGW update. So just the one 9mm. After trying a number of "carry" guns, I decided on a small revolver, so I own one .38 Special which works for me, a Smith & Wesson. My newest love is a Ruger Mark IV .22 competition, pictured below. Again, I tried a couple before settling on this one. I anticipate getting a 1911 .45 sometime in the next year.

Being some what new to shooting started learning last May . Discovered it in my later years and it turns out I like it more than I thought I would . Started with a SD9VE , then I wanted a smaller single stack carry gun , so picked up a Shield 9 because it had a thumb safety . I then tried out a M&P 9 mm 2.0 4.25 barrel followed by a PPQ M2 9mm . Never shot a da/sa . I saw people on YT talk about their P-07/09 and CZ's . With it being a less expensive da/sa and being polymer I tried it and bought it too . Must say I am liking it , it created a newly minted CZ fan person . Now I am torn between a all metal da/sa and some other polymer wonders . M&P shoots fine and PPQ has a great trigger and accuracy . I want to try out different systems , tried the 92 FS and want to try the PX storm with rotary barrel .

My first love will always be 1911's. I prefer the compacts no one else does. Never had the tell tale troubles and I've had at least one since the Detonics came out. I've found a lot of love for my FNX 45 too.

hkvp9 even though it gives me a blister on bottom of index finger if I shoot over 150 rounds.

I couldn't hold out any longer for a modern version of my 1911's. I was considering the CZ -97B and Tang Witness Elite Match in 45 but.......Lust got the best of me O0 Just ordered the FNH - FNX Tactical 45ACP in charcoal 'battle' grey with titanium grey slide with a limited offer free Vortex Venom optic. Can't wait to get my paws around it's 15+1 of 45ACP.
Please post pics when you get it - sounds awesome :)
Thanks s0nspark for the IMGUR posting tutorial in General Topics. Hopefully I've resized this correctly to 640pixels wide:

Thanks s0nspark! I mounted an extra RMR I had, but I just received the 'free' Vortex Venom' that was included in purchases thru Dec 31st. The Venom might be a better combo. Pretty good deal considering the gun is pre-milled and already has co-witness tritium sights set up. I really like the combo decocker/manual safety setup on this FN-FNX Tactical gun. You can run it SAO like a 1911 using the safety, or like a CZ/Sig DA/SA using the decocker only which returns to the 'fire' position. $1,075 all-in.
I wish CZ would produce an MOS ready set-up like several other brands.
However, now that I've figured out how to use IMGUR, I'll try to replace the dead Photobucket images in my old post of the $300 SP-01 optic set-up with J-Point that co-witnesses well without milling. (It's the bottom gun in 3 guns above). A lot of guys want to try an optic/co-witness set-up on their CZ-75's but don't want to mill their slide.
Thanks again for your tutorial on IMGUR. The key is re-sizing your image to 640 pixels wide so it doesn't go HUGE!

Setting the size the image displays at this way is also nice because people can still right-click and open the image in a new tab at full size ;-)

hkvp9 even though it gives me a blister on bottom of index finger if I shoot over 150 rounds.
Precisely why I sold mine. Hated the groove and didn?t want to pay Grey Guns to smooth it out.
My fav so far is my 92A1 with Wilson combat rear sight. I grabbed a 92G decocker kit which I?ll install sometime soon, hopefully. Shield is my EDC which I shoot pretty well too.

Does the 92G decocker kit eliminate the redundant upside down safety??(1911's and almost all other defensive guns the safety off is down, not up). I had an 8000 Cougar that was a fantastic firearm; accurate, reliable, durable, soft shooting.... except for that cockamamie backwards setup.

Yup, turns the safety into a 92G-type decocker only.
