Title: CZ 83 Safety Detent Spring

Any help available on re-installation of this spring? Mine fell out while cleaning..

The trigger guard was difficult to pull down upon disassembly. I think that is when the problem started. Thank you so much for this very helpful information!

It appears that the hook portion of the spring is broken. Any ideas of a source for a replacement?

Mine is an older model with the curved hook around the pin. Don't know if the 90 degree bend would go around and hold.

The 90* spring will not work in an older 83 and they do not make the hook shaped spring any more.

You will have to buy spring wire of the same diameter and make your own. It's a very simple spring and shouldn't be too hard.
