This one isn't a joke.
This article (http://deseretnews.com/dn/view2/1,4382,635174566,00.html?textfield=rape) scared me to death when I read it. We used to live just down the street from this place and we filled up there numerous times. My wife is about the same age and our children are similar, as well.
I am not quite sure how to express my feelings on this one. Anger and hate, maybe. It is always hard when the victim is so similar to a loved one. Hopefully this will make us all a little more concientious of our surroundings.

Teardrop tat - gang tat. Find him, eliminate him. Or, when he get busted and goes to jail, make sure they all know he's an SO....

Let me tell you, folks are shook up over this. Apparently in both incidents, the bad guys simply knocked on the door. In the first incident, the little girls were 4 and 9. Un-frickin-beleivable!
This morning going out to breakfast, my wife asked: Should we buy some Mace to put on the front hall table? My response was why Mace when we can put a pistol there? I think a lightbulb finally came on. Anyway......

I wonder if before they bound them up in duct tape they told them no one would get hurt? I have to agree with Jeff Cooper on this one when he said never coperate attack instead. They may have been killed any way but they would have died fighting and it was three against two and I bet if the lady would have screemd her head off and her kids and if she would of tore the guys hface off with her finger nails he would have run off. It seems like if they are going to hurt the kids and kill you they will do it any way. Just my opinion. When I leave my kids know how to get to loaded firearms if they can not get out of the house and they know how to use them and they will use them. My wife always has a handgun handy when I am gone and I always have one handy. It is sad but it is the way the world is today.

I found another article (http://www.sltrib.com/search/ci_3379582) describing a little more of what happened in Utah. The woman was holding her one year old son the whole time while the daughter watched.

Three Biblical reason for the death penalty that will stand the test of moral reasons also, not merely religious:
1] Murder by premeditation
2] Kidnapping
3] Rape
Read Romans 13. You will find that God has given the government the right to execute law breakers.

is many people are WAY too trusting, especially children. I do background investigations for the Gov't and was checking neighborhoods in Springville, UT last month. I knocked on the door and a 5-6 year old girl answered. I asked if her Mother or Father was home and she said Yes. She left the door ajar and walked into the house. I waited outside and she said I should come in. Thinking she had talked to her parents, I did so. Next thing I hear is her in the back of the house saying 'the man came in', followed by the parents "What Man?!" Seems the little girl did not tell her parents until I got inside.
Had some irate parents until I told them what had happened and I bet the girl got a talking to. Like I said, just too trusting. Next time could have been the bad guys, and no, just because I work for the Feds, that does not include me.
BTW...if anyone is looking for a Fed job, Customs, Border Patrol and Immigration (all now ICE) are hiring big time.

My step-dad worked for the govt for a while, but his was a typical do notta lot job. Is this one of those? What prequalifies one for the job?
For the kid and families sake I hope that a lesson was learned. It is never too young to start.

To be honest, it scared the crap out of me...I coulda been shot as an intruder!
Right now anything connected with Customs, la Migra, now ICE (Immigration and Customs Emforcement) is in the hiring stage. Border patrol is also busy, recruiting for all they are worth. Not sure what the requirements are, all I do is the background investigations, but it would be worth a look-see if you are interested. College/work experience/military are a necessity. Can't just be sitting on your duff 8 hours a day at home. Gonna be in So Cal all next week doing more backgrounds, so business is going strong.
