Title: I Hate Websense-Alms for the internet poor?

It seems like it is getting harder and harder to get around websense at my work.  I wish they would just leave me alone so that I could surf the web on their time and not work.  The latest site to be blocked is good old Eric's site for leather.  I am sure that Hakan, Omega and Jackash will be next!

Good ol' CZ Forum was one of hte FIRST ones to be blocked for me...

Funny. CZForum and The High Road are the only two firearms boards that are not blocked by WebSenseless at my place of work. Go figure.

My work simply blocked ALL non AZ gov't/DOC websites, dagnabbit.

I guess I can count my lucky stars that THR and CZ Forum are still open for me.

You could always try to find one of those web proxy sites, but those are getting harder to find, and Websense is pretty good about detecting them.

I am the Websense admin at a Fortune 500 company... and I get to specifically bypass Websense for my internet access.

Not that it's a real issue.... several of our upper management, including the CEO, are shooters, so all employees can go to any firearms-related site. Maybe some of you can take that approach -- see if you can get management to allow access. You'd be surprised what some of them will allow.

Of course, some companies are becoming quite draconian about their internet access because of the abuse by a small number of people. When I worked for Amex, there was only a small number of sites that you could go to without asking for special access.

What kind of sense of corporate america do you have?  Didn't you know that it is all about me?
