Title: Black barrel Shadows
Post by: copemech on December 23, 2017, 05:37:14 PM
What about these guns coming with black barrels? Can they be polished to a high luster on the chamber area at least without removing too mush metal?

I tested some area on mine with flitz and the surface itself is pretty rough and porus seeming with that nitride or whatever finish they use from factory. :-\

I am finding it somewhat unusual that nobody had tried this, Where Is David?

I have polished that area on a few guns , I did a 75b with a black barrel like what you are referring to .

Thats not a critical area as far as lock up , just so you don't get into the upper lugs. Shine away  ;)
