Thanks for posting this! Is there an expiration date? Already blew my monthly shooting budget on S&P primers from Cabelas.

Just counting on my fingers, but won't $200 mean about 3000 bullets in 9mm ??

There was no expiration date on the post card I recieved.
"For being a loyal customer".  Must be an online order.

Because "normally",  3K doesn't save any more $$$ than 2K,  I usually order 2K at a time and just reorder periodically.

Thanks for the info on the coupon.  It still works.  Oh well, between this and the Natchez order it will be a bit before I can get a case feeder....

Oh well, the lack of of a case feeder means the components should last longer!   :o ::)

I just got done trying the sample packets I got.  The gun likes the JHP but not the FMJ in .356 (38 super).  I decided to try the .356 since the gun likes the Berrys Plated 124 HBFP and ID said his SP-01 likes the larger.

Interesting.  Yeah, my 75 Shadowline shoots the .355 124gr JHP quite well, but it shoots the 38 Super .356 124gr RN a touch better.  My VP9 is the opposite -- shoots the .356 124gr RN well,  but the .355 124gr JHP a touch better.   Have fun with them.  ;)

By my math, at $89/1000 when you buy 2000 or more, that's $267 for 3,000.  ;)

You forgot the $15 coupon - that makes the total $252!!

Thanks for the tip 1SOW.  I just ordered 3,000 124 JHPs and after the entering the code the total came to $252.  I normally use the 124 FMJs, but they were out of them.

I don't know what being a valued customer means,  but when they were starting out,  I used their 124RN until the bullet OALs starting going wonky.  I complained.  They sent me 500 more free.  These all also had big variations in length.
I went to Zeros full time.

Later, members here tried the then "NEW" PD 124 jhps.  I tried them and never looked back.  Best bang for the buck available on a regular basis.

I don't always load PD, but when I do, I consider the seating stem or bullet anvil very carefully. It's best to push on the ogive and thereby center the bullet if you can. Unlike the Berry products with radiused bases, the sharp corner on the PD bullet prefers that the bullet be aligned before entry starts.

 ;)

What seating die / seating stem is recommended for the PD 124 jhp?

FWIW, I've found the nose of the PD JHP bullet where the "jacket" folds over into the hollow point,  has some "flash".  You can feel the thin sharp edges with your finger.  Measure your cartridge oal,  then roll the nose on a flat steel surface.  The oal will decrease up to .002" when the "flash" is levelled.
I still use the LEE dies with good results.

Or load with a seating anvil that seats off the ogive/cone and don?t worry about variation in the nose.  ;)

I use Redding Pro dies and use the hollow seating stem for everything.  A couple of the veteran  reloaders in the forum make custom ?fitted? stems from epoxy and the actual bullet to be used.

The Hornady dies also include a hollow seating stem. Otherwise add some epoxy to a stem you don't often use.

I have been known to make them for Dillon dies.

Thanks for the code, they are my go to for .40 S&W 180 JHP and 9mm 147 RN FMJ bullets. Load great and shoot straight.

Keep in mind that no matter what stem you use to seat the bullet,  you use a caliper that measures off the bullet nose to set your seating depth.  Checked Oals will vary if the nose length varies like the PDs do..

An old friend?s new-ish husband is a UPS guy.  When he found out I reloaded, he said, ?I hate you guys.  If I ever get a box of lead going to your home, it?s going in the river.?

I got mine today,  and the UPS guy warned they were heavy.  He also offered to carry them inside.  I thanked him and told him those particular muscles were well exercised for these boxes.  He was happy. :)
