Title: What size O ring for dry firing?
Post by: jack76590 on January 03, 2018, 11:01:01 AM
Just emailed cajun re firing pin retaining pin and dry firing. They recommended using O ring over snap cap. For those who use O rings what size do you use? I would guess install O ring by pushing in place by hand, but do you use/need small needle nose pliers to get out? Thanks.

#83 should work  and it's easy to pop out with your finger.
It's also easy to forget to pop it out before you go shooting. ::)  You can tie a piece of string on it as a flag if needed.

Thank ISOW. Home depot has #83 O rings in stock according to their website. I think I will go belt and suspender approach and use both snap cap and O ring. Plus at some point install Cajun retaining pin.

A member here gave away some "orange" color O-rings that showed up better when looking toward the rear sights.
I'm still using the first one I started with.   Might do a search and get lucky.  Orange o-ring .

Those are red silicone. They have much better visibility than black o-rings.
