Hey guys,
Those rubber base plates on all 4 mags are wobbling a bit, i also hate the feel of them.
Feels and looks cheap.
Anyone with remedies?
Thanks

I have these on the two I use for carry. Looks good and lets clothes slide over them without catching.

Nice set up!
They do look good, but i cant justify paying $24 just for a base plate, especially when i would need 4 of them at least.
That is almost a price of another magazine.

What brand of magazine ? Are they the hard plastic or rubber? I have a mix of them all but none of them are what I would consider loose or wobbly. Could these be factory mags with rubber Beretta base plates? Don't have any but I know it has been a popular (lower cost) alternative conversion from steel bases in the past.

These are factory, came in the box with the compacts i just got.
The aluminum compact are slightly more wobbling then the stteel frame had, but both are uncomfortable and cheap feeling rubber plates.
Would you have a link to beretta mag plates,
Thanks

Don't have any. They were 92 mag base plates I believe.

These work exceptional in my P-01. Not very much wobble at all.

Gotta love Mec-Gar's dimensional similarity.

That's why I only have the two. ;D

The plastic baseplates of Sig 226/229 work too.

I found that these Beretta mag bases on my PCR mags have some play in them, more than the factory steel PCR mag bases. I guess the channels where they slide-on might have more tolerance or something.
EDIT: I figured out why the Beretta mag bases have more play in them once installed on the factory 14RD mags. The locking hole on the Beretta bases is not in the same spot (more towards the back of the mag) when compared to the factory mag bases. (Has nothing to do with the size of the hole.) So when sliding the Berettas on, they engage the Mag Base Lock Pin sooner allowing for more play in the Mag Base Lock Pin towards the front of the mag. On the factory mag bases, once in position, it requires more effort to coerce the Mag Base Lock Pin forward so it engages. Once in this tight forward position, it has less play. In regards to the Mec-gar branded 14RD mags, the Berettas seem to fit a little tighter even though the factory mags and mec-gar mags are supposed to be the same.
This is discussed a bit here: https://czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=16596.0

Are there any +2 base plates for the 14rd 75 mag?

No. But you can buy the 16rd magazines and these +2 bases to create a flush fit:

I have a pair of high polished baseplates from PPD Billet and a pair of the baseplates from Greg Cote for use with the 16 round mags. Both sets of baseplates are excellent and I highly recommend them.
