Title: Question - What is a Zastava Arms CZ99?
Post by: jski on January 11, 2006, 11:18:17 AM
I have several CZ firearms. A friend told me about a CZ99 made by Zastava Arms. Any one know anything about this firearm? Good/Bad? Is it worth getting? Thanks for you help.

He may mean this: www.charlesdaly.com/html/...alyzda.asp (http://www.charlesdaly.com/html/products/firearms/pistols/dalyzda/dalyzda.asp)

It's more a Sig Clone tho

As noted, its a SIG clone.  (Improved in some ways.)  But ongoing service may be an issue.

It is NOT a "CZ" in the way that the other guns we discuss here are CZs or clones.

Zastava's are made in Yugoslavia.  They make some other interesting firearms, but Charles Daly doesn't import them.  They have an "upgaded" Tokarev TT called the M57 Lux that looks pretty cool and shoots our old friend the 7.62 x 25 cartridge just like the CZ 52.

Apparently "CZ" in the CZ 99 and CZ 999 refer to something  beginning with the letter "C" and then Zastava.  No relationship to Ceska Zbrojovka of the Czech Republic.

Any additional info on the M57 Lux? I really like the 7.62x25.
