What is an LM choke?
-
"LM" doesn't jog any memories. Could it possibly be "IM" for Improved Modified? (i.e. 3/4 Choke)
-
No. Definitely LM. Doubt it?s a typo, either. Never seen it before.
-
Never heard of it before, but a quick search shows that LM stands for Light Modified.
-
OK, never come across that one in the paddock. A search reveals it is between "Improved Cylinder" (1/4 choke in the British system) and "Modified" (1/2 choke) - that makes it a "Skeet 2" or "Light Modified" and is equivalent to what would be a 3/8 choke in the British system.

LM means Light Modified. In very simple terms without writing nominal choke constriction measurements, LM is between IC (improved cylinder) and MOD (modified). Screw-in choke tubes may be marked or engraved different ways and/or places.
