Title: Yo Dave trigger kit, 455 Varmit Evolution

Ordered this a couple days ago, anyone know which shim/spring combo I should start with? I'm looking for 1.5LB trigger, 0 creep. Currently the factory trigger is 2.75Lb almost 0 creep.

Yeah I have heard that, but figured there would be a good starting point other than trying all the combos. Like smallest shim and second lightest spring. Probably what I'll start with, but feedback from those that have done it and their results are if interest to me.

If you have almost 0 creep now I doubt the shims will work. I have only done six 452 rifles but every time I have tried to zero out the creep it has left the action unsafe. I get close and my American has almost 0 creep. Several were already as "good as it gets" and I couldn't use a shim.

The springs are a simple swap. I would start low then function test.

Haven't heard of many people using the shims. They are using the second lightest spring in the kit.  Most people are putting in the no.144 ace hardware spring and are good to go.

I have a 452 Varmint that I bought late 2014 (ish). I dry-fired the trigger a few times with fired cases as "snap caps" then went to work installing the Yo-Dave kit. I didn't want an extremely light trigger (local regulations say 1kg -2.2lb minimum excepting "set" triggers) but a very gritty creep was definitely noticeable.
It is a trial and error process but I ended up with the 2nd strongest spring and (now that I've checked to make verify) the blue (thinnest - 0.010") shim. Bumping on the stock with a rubber hammer between trials until you find a combo that feels right for you and is safe. Now it is crisp with zero creep and people who have tried the rifle can't believe it is indeed 1kg pull as the absence of creep makes it feel much lighter.

I am still getting to know my 452 but see a trigger kit in my not-too-distant future.
