Title: How Is Your P-10 Performing At This Time
Post by: cremaley on February 17, 2018, 02:56:24 PM
I am now at round count 800 and the only issues with my P-10 was a broken striker tip at round 200. Its been replaced with a CGW tool steel striker which has performed flawlessly. How is your P-10 performing and what is the round count?

Running like a champ so far.

No function problems what so ever with a mix of fmj and jhp ammo.  My only complaint is the occasional pinch I get on the bottom of my trigger finger (right index) when firing.  I really have to concentrate on riding my trigger finger a bit higher than I'm used to on other pistols.  However, it's really only a minor annoyance that a little training will rectify.

No problems so far , somewhere around 3000 rounds down the pipe. Waiting for CGW to offer there new trigger . Will be picking up all the CGW parts at one time.
Most accurate pistol i own at this time . Right now i have had Primary Machine mill the slide for a Vortex Venom , barrel and slide ported by Magna port , HBI trigger,
Tungsten heavy guide rod  and 18 LB recoil spring.

With about 1500-1700 rounds through it, the trigger has smoothed out considerably.  The mag release is getting better each day.  No broken parts such as the slide cover or firing pin.  I have no reason to complain, but I will anyways. ;) ;)

I'm a lil above 2000 rounds, running flawlessly only issue I ever had was some fte' s running some cheap steel cased ammo. Haven't had a chance to hit the range since my last upgrade which was the GG super black guide rod and competition spring.

I'm using the same set up on my P-10. What spring weight are you using?

It's been great. 2,050 rounds without a failure. Added the CGW striker also, the HBI flat trigger and an APLc.. got a DARA iwb made and I've been carrying it for months now. Love how flat and accurately it shoots.

Its really hard to say. It cycles just fine. I don't fell any less recoil but then the P-10 is probably the flattest shooting handgun I have ever owned. My principle reason for changing the stock spring was to upgrade the quality of the recoil rod from plastic to stainless steel. Let me know what you think once you shoot yours.

Mine is currently at CZ-USA.  :(

What is being done to your P-10?
It doesn't shoot groups, it shoots patterns.

Good question. I've tried several different loads, factory ammo, having others shoot it, and rested from a bench. The trigger is pretty creepy/gritty but that doesn't account for the lack of repeatable accuracy I'm seeing. It's all over the place.
Years ago I had a P99 .40 that acted similarly. I thought it was me, then I bought my first CZ(P-01). . . it was a tack driver. All of my CZ's are, until this one.
Rested, I would expect similar accuracy from my P10 to what I get from my P-07 and previously my P-09.

Have you heard anything from CZ Warranty Service as to what they think the problem might be? I would surely push for a new P-10. Mine is a tack driver so there must be some kind of defect with yours. Good luck getting it resolved.

The last email update I received stated the problem as "shooting high". I was much more descriptive than that. I assume they're checking the issues I wrote down, but had to write something for the update. I'm confident it will come back right or be replaced. By the time this one comes back, Schmeky should have his trigger ready for release.

Mine is a tack driver! I shot a fist sized group slow fire at 50 ft last night. My indoor range only goes out to 50 ft.

About 300 flawless rounds through mine. It just needs a little more wear in with the mag release. I might take some emory cloth and lightly reduce the rear grip checkering a little. I'm also planning to add the CGW striker soon.

Thanks for sharing. If you don't want to mar the grip finish you could order a set of Talon Grips to reduce the aggressiveness of the stock grip. Also, CGW striker is a wise investment for your P-10.

Another flawless 100 rounds today bringing total to 900. The only issue I had today is my wife shot better than I did. Bummer!

Black- 2,000 rounds, no issues*
FDE- 250 rounds, no issues
Suppressor Ready- Got the shipping notification today  ;D

*Technically, one of the frame pins did have a tendency to walk-out a bit every few hundred rounds, initially. The third time it happened, I drove it out and rotated it 180 degrees before re-installing it. Haven't had a problem since. Perhaps the better statement would have been "no failures".

Man Earl keese thats an unheard of problem with CZs bad accuracy just dont go in the same sentence. Hope you get that all worked out. Any of you guys getting a finger pinch and cant or dont want to buy another trigger I just simply removed mine and took about an 1/8" off the bottom and all that pinch was completely gone just an option and it wont affect the safety function either.

I know of another guy with the same issue, but he bought his P10 used and has no warranty of course. I was surprised as well and wasted a good bit of ammo before I gave up on it. If CZ tells me it shoots fine, I'm not sure what I'll do.

Very odd for sure.  You may have mentioned this in previous comments and I missed it but did you check the crown of the barrel and how was the lock up on the barrel in the front and around the chamber did it seem overly loose at all just curious.

I talked to Cory today, he said they haven't had a P10 yet that hasn't met accuracy standards, but they would check it. I didn't ask when it would be done.

My P10 has been running happily for about 500 rounds. The HBI trigger is a definite, must have upgrade.

Crown looked fine, lock up wasn't noticeably loose.
