New to CZ ownership and this forum, here's my question.....I jus tbought a 2075 BD with, of course, the factory night sights. I store the pistol in the dark, do the sights need periodic exposure to light to retain their visibility?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, I've never had night sights before.

No need to charge them. Only hope they stay working as my front sight went dead in less than 6 months.

CZ has my gun now for an unrelated issue. It did not have night sights when purchased. I was considering asking them to install night sights as they can install the correct height night sights. :) Has anyone tried aftermarket night sights from CZ. (In retrospect, this was a tongue twister.)

These night sights use tritium, a harmless radioactive luminescent sight. That means they autofloresce, so no light exposure needed. The disadvantage is that they gradually lose luminance, roughly half as bright after 12 years. So they need to be replaced eventually.
