The truly scary thing is that this extremist, Fascism laced bill is supported by 150+ democratic members of the House of Representatives.  This represents more than 1/3 of the representatives in the House.  Ladies & Gentlemen I tell you now, despite our hopes, prayers, never ending efforts and desires to preserve that which our Forefathers endowed us, the day will come sooner rather than later, that we will have to fight and if necessary, die to preserve them.  I can only hope and pray that if such a tragedy does come to pass, that those in the positions of our government who perpetuated stripping us of these rights, are amongst the fatalities.

Lol, I love it, as usual the Ruger mini 14 & 30 are legal as long as they don?t have the dreaded and horrifying black plastic stock w/pistol grip.

After watching a couple videos of comedian Brad Stine recently, I?ve picked up a new catch phrase for all these people that come up with these laws.... ?Put a helmet on!!?

Why are they so scared of a barrel shroud?  And what are people who enjoy the hearing protection a suppressor offers going to do since threaded barrels are scary too.

Agreed.

It is a hell of a thing to read, though.  :o

Sadly, that's not entirely true. This isn't the Clinton AWB, read it a little more closely. All a firearm (rifle, shotgun, or pistol) has to possess of the "bad features" list is ONE feature (not 2 or more). So, this means a Mini-14/30 with a threaded barrel is classified as an AW. Also, because of the wording in the definitions, they could contend that the removable handguard portion is a barrel shroud, therefor making it illegal as well.

We would think, but do NOT assume. Still contact your Congressmen to voice your opinion.

No point in contacting mine. It's still going nowhere.

The House will not pass it, it's as dead as Caesar's ghost. DO keep letting your elected officials know that you are watching, and jumping the wrong way.

I find it interesting that I can go on my local AF Base and buy several moderately good semi auto rifles and quite a number of S-A pistols. After market parts can upgrade their performance.
I would have to sign my life away,  but it's doable.
