How is this "new" PM7-S (Pointman Major Seven Stainless) any different than the PM7-S I bought last year for $550, brand new?

The prices are incredible. From the affordable wonderful CZ to this? Gah, I'll get a Ballister Molina for a cheap 1911 style.

It seems that its in the same price range as Kimber and Para 1911's, but I agree with the above sentiments, for half the money, I prefer my Springfield GI.

They're in the same price range as Kimber, but the DW pistols don't hold their value when you try to get rid of them.

Thats interesting, I never knew that. ,but I never tried to sell one or trade it in, I was under the impression that they held their value VERY well.

Remember, the prices shown are the "Suggested Retail Prices". I think you will find that real pricing will be lower.
Take care,

CZ75ID, will you be able to tell us where serial numbers will be to indicate DW 1911's, post CZ acquisition?
Might be worth knowing in regard to increased effort in improving QC!

Something does nto add up here. I believe the 2004 Dan Wessons had a suggested retail of $500 to 600. What explains the close-to 100% increase?
I agree that the quoted MSRP under CZ is high; the CZ 75B can be had for about $350 through outfits like J&G even though its MSRP is much higher.
But I have to question the wisdom of CZ-USA in setting the MSRP of the Dan Wessons at a Grand. Frankly, I doubt these brand new CZ-USA/Dan Wesson 1911s will compete at all with the known-quality of the Kimbers, Springfields & STI single stack guns. Maybe the quality of the Dan Wesson has shot up since the acquisition, but in the mind of the 1911 buying public, the Dan Wesson is not in the same quality range as the $1000 kimbers, Springfields and STIs - not to mention the good reputation of the less expensive S&W 1911 and the new Sig 1911.
At a minimum, I hope that CZ-USA has the wisdom to send out as many of the CZ-USA DWs to as many gunwriters as possible. I believe the DWs have an up-hill battle at that price.

PS where are the 9mm guns?

I agree! At that price level they'll have to compete with the Springfield TRP, Kimber Tactical Elite, Sig GSR, Caspian, Wilson, Les Baer, and STI High End 1911 style pistols, and the Battle will be Up Hill.
