I never could find aftermarket grips for the FEG GKK.

ya FEG its tuff to find anythign for them the guy at Gander Mountain said the gun looks like a copy of a S&W 645 adn to try a set of grips for it, also looking at a browning hi power they lok very similar also, will have to delve into it a bit deeper
aim small, hit small

Check out CDNN. They have very inexpensive wood and rubber grips for various guns, and you might stumble onto a cheap way to experiment.
(Don't forget their flat rate shipping charge though, as it jacks the total price up when you buy just one item...)

I want to clarify that I never tried S&W 4506 grips, because it was obvious to the naked eye that they wouldn't fit. Hi-Power grips will not work either. I havn't had a GKK for three or four years. Things may have changed...

Not just to the naked eye. The 4506 grips are designed to work with the 4506 frame, and there isn't ANY way they'd work or could be made to work. You'll notice a conspicuous absence of grip screws in the normal places, for example.
The BHP grips would be too small!
