Usually there are only two holes. One that the safety goes in and holds the sear cage in place and the second is for the hammer. There is a third on this pistol and it has a hex screw, anyone have an idea?

Just a guess, maybe to remove play between the sear cage and frame.

My guess too. I?ve read old threads and Angus used to pin the sear cage like that, or he mentioned some people used to.

set screws to lock the sear housing solid - saw this recently in a pic from DeanD of his 1985 Frankonia Waffern

Notice the numbers don,'t match?
I've heard of that here several (?) years ago.
