Title: Anyone know why there is an extra hole in this 75
Post by: shootingisfun on March 24, 2018, 03:17:04 PM
Usually there are only two holes.  One that the safety goes in and holds the sear cage in place and the second is for the hammer.  There is a third on this pistol and it has a hex screw, anyone have an idea?

Just a guess, maybe to remove play between the sear cage and frame.

^^^

My guess too. I?ve read old threads and Angus used to pin the sear cage like that, or he mentioned some people used to.

+1
set screws to lock the sear housing solid - saw this recently in a pic from DeanD of his 1985 Frankonia Waffern

I thought the same.

I've heard of that here several (?) years ago.
