I have an early release CZ P10c that has run flawlessly for coming up on 2000 rounds. I never had the slide cover issue, but my slide cover does move down slightly, not enough to hang up, but there is some movement.
I decided to try spraying the edges of the slide cover with one of those flexible rubber coating sprays they advertise to plug up leaks. I blue taped the slide cover, put it on top of 9mm casing, and sprayed only the sides of the slide cover. When it dried, it was too thick to put back into the slide. So I shaved a little rubber coating off with my knife and achieved a nice tight fit. No slide cover movement at all. I shot 100 rounds with no movement. My striker assembly didn't rotate but would wiggle. It is rock solid right now. I have been stumped on how to tighten the slide cover so I thought I would share my solution.
By the way, that is a freshly milled slide and cerakote by Primary Machine. Great work! This is my Louisiana special CZ P10c -- Cajun Gun Works internals and external work done by Primary Machine.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180423/3e09f4898c0816b7257759c3d9ac13a0.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180423/402f46c3590bcd252d1eea6738039e69.jpg)

Thanks for sharing your fix for the loose slide cover. Mine is tight now but I'll try your fix if my slide cover ever loosens up.
BTW, that is a kick-butt P10C you have there sir!

Thanks, pretty sweet...
any chance of some additional pic's, including end plate ?
-
Yeah, that looks sharp. Primary did a great job with it. How do you like the rear slide lined up this way. I don't remember the reason for having it this way, but I think cowitnessing and having use of the iron sights is very important if the optic goes down. A back up plan is ready, and that in my book is a good thing.

When I first started this post, I took a picture of the slide plate but it basically looks the same. The black rubber coating on black slide plate doesn't show well on camera. When the slide plate is installed, it looks exactly the same.

This video does a great job of explaining back up sight placement. This video convinced me to go with the back up sights in front of the optic. I really like it. When I shoot, I don't even notice them.

How did you achieve this? What I mean is how is the slide milled to get the iron sight in front of the optic?
This looks really neat. Is it really accurate?

I sent my slide to Primary Machine to be milled for the RMR. They supply the sights and give you the option to out them in front of or behind the optic. I highly recommend them. Fast friendly service. Cajun Gun Works, CZ Custom, and Jagerwerks are all quality shops as well.

Did they supply the optic as well, give you a few choices as well.

BTW does Primary Machine include a cover plate with this?
-
I had Primary Machine mill my slide for the Vortex Viper optic. I chose not to have a rear sight installed because I didn't have a need for co-witness sights. They do not include a slide cover. Great company.

Cover plates have gotten to be on the bottom of the priority list.
Why? Once you go red dot you don't go back. No one takes their dot off and puts a cover plate on.

I use my P-07 for USPSA competition. I want the ability to go back to Production if I want to. With the mill work it makes it illegal for production unless there?s a cover plate. So not at the bottom of my priority list.
