I too was having trouble with a balky mag release on my P-10 c. I did the polishing and also slightly reconfigured the top of the mag catch that inserts into the slot on the magazine. All as shown on this excellent thread, http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=88890.30 The mag still didn't release as freely as I liked, so I cut a couple coils off the end of the mag release spring. It works very nicely, now. Very smooth and no accidental releases. I still can't activate the button with my thumb. I have to use the trigger finger on my strong hand to activate it, but I am getting use to that.
I did order a couple extra springs from CZUSA before I started wacking off coils. If you try this, since every gun is different, you might want to start with just one coil.

I swapped it out with a glock striker block spring along with a the recommend polishing and reprofiling of the top edge. Much improved mag release now with a full magazine.

I'm guessing mine is a strange duck. My mag release is too light! Nothing's been done to it, but when the slide is to the rear, even during recoil, it only takes the smallest nudge to drop the magazine. It's still aplenty stiff when the slide is forward, but I get the creepy feelins when a mag self departs.

Mine was so stiff new you couldn?t operate it without adjusting your grip and really mashing the mag release. Instead of monkeying with it or sending it back I put 2500 rounds through the gun just to confirm reliability of the gun. Guess what, the release broke in and works perfect and I didn?t have to change a thing.

I sent mine back to have a couple of things checked out along with the stiff/binding mag release. I sent it out on Monday with the prepaid overnight label and had it back by that Friday. The mag release is like butter now.

fastlane, thanks for the info, good to know. I did the same as WayneJessie and also worked it while sitting in front of the TV, with some oil. Works well now in the FDE, need to break the White Knight in better the same way, but is much better as well.
Glock striker spring? Interesting idea...who knew a Glock could be useful for something... ;) ;D

Mine's the same way. It's light when the slide is back with ammo in the mag. The top round or follower presses against either the slide when forward. When empty, the follower pushes on the slide release tab when it's locked back. With ammo, the magazine almost floats in the magwell when the side is to the rear. I dumped my mag twice while shooting very early on when I swapped in a lighter mag release spring. Went back to the stock spring and polished the catch instead to smooth it out instead.
