Title: EAA Witness help needed. No help in the clone section or CZ gunsmithing section
Post by: dfariswheel on July 03, 2018, 08:20:06 PM
I posted this in the clone and the CZ gunsmithing forums and got no good help.........

I've been handed a Witness large frame 9mm that required a new interrupter installation.

After installation when the trigger is pulled in double action the hammer falls and is caught by the sear in the half cock notch.
I'm not sure what the fix is for this condition.
Any help??

In the CZ gunsmithing forum I was advised to trim the "wings" on the interrupter to drop the hammer SOONER.
This sounds counterintuitive.
If the hammer is timed to drop sooner, wouldn't it catch on the sear worse, since the sear is already not rising up fast enough for the hammer to not catch.

Help........

You already have two other threads, including one with a possible fix. That's plenty.
