I read somewhere...might have been here or maybe the forum that shall remain unnamed...that if a dealer orders X amount of 452s (I forget the required number) that CZ will make a special run for them. That most likely will continue until the tooling is totally shot. CZ probably asks a premium price from those dealers thus the higher price passed onto the buyer. That may be why you see Whitakers and big dealers like Bud's have them for sale from time to time...Sorta makes the Grand Finale a misnomer, don't it ?

I know you said in another post (I think it was you) that they are always out of stock on the web site. You might want to contact CZ USA and talk to a real person to see if they can obtain one for you. We know they are being made since 452 Americans are still hitting the streets NIB.

I sure like dealing with Buds, they have killer prices, no tax (in VA), free shipping and my buddy has an FFL, charges me $25 for a transfer. Buds beats some wholesaler prices...

Well I caved in and Bud's has one LESS in stock than they had Sunday. Have to say I'm more than a little anxious to get it in. Do hope it's a fitting companion for my Grand Finale. HA that's the one that sent me into the incurable CZitis. Should have contracted this disease years ago.

I'm very glad I got one when I did. I joke around about how they will probably keep producing them but at some point the well will run dry.
Haven't scoped mine yet but I hope someone will start a "review" thread in this section that we can all add to showing range results and pics of our recent Americans :D
I am seriously considering a gloss finish scope for mine, I think it will match the bluing nicely and seems so classy to me. I keep seeing older Leupolds floating around, showing some wear but nice glass and a classic look (IMO).

I got lucky finding that 1995 Leupold for the Grand Finale. Not likely I'm going to find another Gloss in that model for this new American coming in. I do have a Matte finished VX-2 3-9x33mm Rimfire EFR A/O, #110827, Fine Duplex ready to be put into service.

Have you posted a photo of your GF with the gloss Leupold anywhere? Would love to see it if possible, if not, no worries.
