Hello! I'm new here. Own many CZ pistols, and love them all.
I just bought a Scorpion Evo pistol, and got the chance to run it today. I ran 250 rounds, flawlessly and incredibly fun. The gun shoots excellent.
Just wanted to post a couple pics of something I noticed after cleaning it post range sesh. My barrel extension / breech face seems to have a gouge.
I'm wondering what could've caused it. Is this from letting the slide slam home.

Doubt it'll cause any issues, I just want to know if it's something I need to watch, or caused by something I can prevent making it worse

Looks like your feed ramp is also chipped and missing a chunk Id contact CZusa asap it looks like an improperly headspace chamber

Does "250 rounds flawlessly" mean no failure to feed, or was there a feeding failure? (like bullet nose hung up on ramp) Did you at any time load a round by hand in the chamber and let the bolt slam forward? How does the front of the extractor look?

No it means zero failures or slowdown of any kind. I zeroed for about 60 rounds (irons, then optic), then just played for the rest of the time. Ran it slow and fast. No extraction issues, no feeding issues.
I only loaded from the magazine. I never hand load a round into my chamber on any gun.
Extractor and bolt face look perfectly unmarked.

I wouldn't expect copper or brass to gouge steel either.
My OCD couldn't take it, so I ever so lightly stoned and polished that gouge with my dremmel. It feels smooth now. Just can't figure out how it happened in the first place.

The light in the pic is casting a reflection on the feed ramp. Feed ramp is fine. I contacted the mfg through the online email form. I'll see what they say. I'm going to go run another few hundred rounds through tomorrow and test out some different ammo types.

Looks like a tooling mark from when they recessed that area. The tool probably chattered or jerked

You're probably right. I smoothed it out a bit. I dont really expect it to be an issue at all.

Ran another 250 through today. The gun runs extremely well, so I'm not worried.
CZ told me to send it back for inspection, but I don't think I'm going to bother
