Just ordered the ACR stock and adapter. Anyone else running this on their 805?
-
The ACR stock and adapter, to me, balances the 805 out a little better. The ergonomics are better than stock. You won't regret your purchase.
That being said I did take a file to the adapter though so the take down pin wouldn't fit so tight it required a hammer. My main concern was the adapter stressing and/or breaking the pin and waiting two weeks for a new one that FedEx would lose anyway.

Thanks, I was hoping it would help the balance.
Do you have any pictures of the modification you did?
-
I can get you some pics up when I get home
-
I can't get images to work for some reason....
Anyway, I ended up filing down the top edge of the bottom tab on the adapter block. It didn't need much material taken off. You can use the original block as reference.

Appreciate the effort. Went ahead and ordered one so I'll get to see what mod needs to be done first hand.
As a side note: Asked if they were considering a Bren 2 version and they said "if we get enough interest", but they have a fair amount of current inventory to sell out first. Hint, hint....

Finally arrived yesterday. Went on with zero problems. Really makes a difference in the feel of the Bren.

I have an ACR stock and adapter on my Bren. It?s fantastic. My only complaint is that it doens?t lock to the side when you fold it.

I have the MAA adapter shown here and the Lucky Irishman adapter. I didn't think I was going to get the hinge pin driven into the MAA adapter without breaking something. The Lucky Irishman adapter is better in every way.
Dan Haga sells a replacement cover plate that removes the rear sling loops and let's the stock fold all the way and stay in place.

^^ Nice! Any problems with installing it?
On another subject; how's the Haga lower for fit, finish and function?

As mentioned in other reply, rear pin quite harder to put back in. Lubed it and good to go [emoji38] . Haga lower good and no issues.

Saw the post about the rear pin. Reason why I asked is that I had no problems with mine. Slipped right on. Guess I got lucky....

Best upgrade that I made to my Bren HANDS DOWN... if you are questioning doing it... make like Nike and just do it.
