Title: Feeding your 452
Post by: Jiva on September 21, 2018, 01:21:27 PM
What ammo does your 452 shoot best?

I am NOT asking for advice on what I should use, that is between me and my rifle ;D

However, I am curious, for those of you with 452's (American, Varmint, Lux, Trainer...)

What average/good grade ammo (NOT high dollar/match) does your rifle seem to shoot best?

This morning, this is what I got from some Geco 40 grain shooting 5 shots at a 2 MOA square from sitting:

I like the Geco stuff.

My rifles shoot SK+,and Eley Target, well too.

You didn't write what distance you shot.  I have had great results at 100 yards with Geco Match.  Cz Ultra Lux at 100 yards.  BRNO peep sights.

Another +1 for Geco. It is all I use.

My CZ's as a whole like CCI SV.  It's not match ammo, but it is consistent.

Had a chance to try some SK Standard + but don't think I shot it well enough to justify getting a lot of it.

My Lux likes the Geco bolt-action so I tried some of the Geco Match but didn't see a huge difference. Since it's only .06 per round I think I'll keep testing to see if it's consistent for me.
