Does anyone know how to correct a noisy something when the slide is pulled back, I recently oiled the slide, is there another point of contact that moves that can make this insane squeak noise?

I don't have a squeaky noise on mine. Can you take the noise and post it or provide more details?

Probably the Recoil Spring Assembly.
Dude, press on.

It?s the recoil spring sliding or expanding against the guide rod. Don?t worry about it

Put some grease on the recoil spring assembly

Will oil it, and let you guys know
is it dangerous?

Oiled it sound funny still, did check without the spring, couldn't replicate the sound with the spring out.
do I press the spring on to the second ledge or just the first ledge like most guns use?
and also the slide release and mag release is hard to use from natural angles,
is this just a lemon?
how do I post a file of the audio?

Light oiling should be no issue

Put some rounds down range and put that spring and slide to work.

Ditto seebee62 - Go to the range and put about 200 rounds through it and the spring should function better.

Stiff slide and mag release seems to be a known issue with new P10C's. They loosen up with use. If you want to hasten this process, insert mag, hit mag release, repeat.

Like others have replied, if you have the newer RSA with a steel guide rod, the noise is created when the flat RSA spring rubs against the steel rod. My HK VP9 has the same type RSA and makes the old screen door opening sound also!

Go do some shooting. I guarantee you won?t hear it over the bang. I always put a few drops of oil directly on the recoil spring and put it back in the gun. Then I lock the slide to the rear and put oil on a q tip and wipe it on the exposed guide rod. Metal or plastic I do the same. I?ve had them both squeak. David

Grease.

My P-07 initially did that, and quickly went away.
As others have said, put that boy to work!
