I've handled a 527 Lux lately and it has factory sights on it, same a the 527 FS. The rear sight base is contoured with the barrel and appears to be soldered on at the factory. Are these rear sights a bother if one mounts a scope ? Can they be removed if one would want to use an aperture sight ?
In all likelihood, I would mount a scope - but the rear sight looks quite permanent. Any comments from those that work with, or around these sights ? I may end up with a 527 American, where it wouldn't matter, however, I do appreciate the lines of the Lux and FS as well.
Regards, Vic

I had the fixed sight on my CZ 527M Carbine, but it was dovetailed in, a very easy replacement. The contour fit might require gunsmith replacement.

I just talked to Bubba, he said, "bring it on over". Seriously, +1 on the gunsmith for that one.
