Title: New CZ 550 FS 6.5x55mm

I finally found me a nice 550 FS in 6.5x55mm Swedish a few months ago.  I have a friend who's a CZ dealer.  I had him on the lookout for one and he came through.  This is my first CZ rifle and needless to say, I'm happy!

I was able to work up some loads and shoot this weekend to see her potential.  I'm well pleased with how sh's done.  I tried 4 loads and settled on the 140 gr. Nosler Partition with Reloader 22.  I shot a 4 shot 1 inch group with wind gusting to 20 mph.  May try to find a better load, but for now it is more than sufficient for deer season.  This little rifle has a roar when you shoot, but is still pleasant to shoot.

Nice!

I'm kind of sad to see the medium 550's go. Luckily, there seems to still be plenty out there on the used market. And I think CZ's "FS" 550's have an unmistakable look to them!

What year is the rifle? It seems to have the earlier trimmer stock.

I really don't know.  I just got it last year, but it could have been older stock.  Anyplace in particular to check for the year?  I'll check on the box.

Usually they come with a dated target shot before the rifle left the factory.
Did you find one ?

You should look at the norma bullets, theyve got a few 156/157 grain offerings.  Im starting to play with the 156 grain oryx in a 6.5 creemoor tikka, havent shot yet but have high hopes since hornady axed the 160 round nose
