I shoot a regular CZ SP 01 Shadow without substantial upgrades/modifcations. I only changed the grips to lokgrips couple of months ago.
I usually  comply with the ISSF rules on 25 m center fire pistol
http://www.qualifire.com/xms/files/Documentos/ISSF_25_pistol_2005_2nd.pdf (http://www.qualifire.com/xms/files/Documentos/ISSF_25_pistol_2005_2nd.pdf)

I ceased to shoot IPSC because there are way to many variables which contribute to the final result (starting with the weather), many of which I consider random.

This is exceptional shooting. Bravo.
Do you shoot with single hand, or with double hand grip?

This is very kind of you. I believe a real challenge is to break constantly the limit of 90 points/25m at every session. Even if you have a bad day.

Those are pretty targets.  Scoring rings are a LOT smaller than our US Bullseye targets!

It is ISSF centerfire pistol.
Rapid fire is 25m with .22lr whereas I shoot 9mm luger.

Thanks for the recommendation. A video would be as boring as this thread is, I assure you of that ;D.
It's just normal target practice. I am circling around 90 points all the time as you may have seen. I asked the girl below about her tips  for improving accuracy and  she replied "it will come with time" ;D.

Excellent shooting.

-Trust your wobble, dont force the shot in trying to hit a 10. You hit 10s when you dont try!
-squeeze it like you squeeze a lemon (i m referring to the trigger here), while trusting your wobble.
-keep head position same for all shots (dont bend the neck up or downwards)
-grip and finger pressure should be constant. Dry fire a bit to check what increasing grip or finger pressure does.

You must know all this, but though I would share anyways, as these are some points that helped me quite a bit.

You are right. It's a consistency thing. If I squeezed the trigger the same way every time and/or kept my head in the same position, I would be in the  95-100 range, not in the 90-95 range.

I notice you go between 115 gr and 124 gr. with different brands. Do you shoot whats available? Or are you shooting specific ammo based on conditions or something?
Title: Re: CZ Shadow 1, 25m (27yds)
Post by: Europe on November 24, 2019, 04:32:47 PM
115 grs is an old stockpile. In general I shoot 124 gr since I believe it's on average more accurate round. I am slowly leaning towards 147gr subsonic as I noticed that top shooters at my club shoot subsonic in bullseye competition.

Today my target is not very impressive- 90 points but the group is really big. maybe due to 2 degrees Celsius we had at the range.

That is very good shooting.

I think it is more to do with technique errors when I see your low shots.

Slapping the trigger as soon as sights are on the center
tightening fingers a bit, right at the trigger break/squeeze time (a kind of flinch)
pushing the gun slightly forward right at the squeeze time ( a kind of flinch)
or changing head position

I shoot with fierce focus on front sight, and, while trying to keep all basics fixed, I like to see a surprise break (I keep applying pressure on trigger like squeezing a lemon). If I see the empty case flying off during cycling, I realize I broke a good shot. Usually a 9 or 10.
If I am getting consistent bad shots, I dry fire a bit, and that helps me improve focus, and sometimes realize the error I have been making.

I have been shooting rifle lately, F Class. But with practice, can reach 180/200 with single hand hold at 25mtrs, ISSF target, same as yours. And it is these minor details that differentiate a 175 from a 185/200. Not bragging, just sharing my experience, might be of some use to you. Although, you are consistently shooting mid 90s, which is very impressive.
