For those who want their Kadet slide to stay open after last round. The groove in the slide stop has to be modified by 1mm. On pictures: 1st is original PCR stop (distance to the groove is 23.4mm). 2nd is unmodified Kadet stop (distance to the groove is 22.4mm). 3rd is modified Kadet stop (same distance as on original PCR stop).

Hello Leshka71 thanks for the post.. Can you use the modified slide stop in the PCR with the 9mm slide and barrel or will you need a new slide stop?
-
You can’t use Kadet stop with PCR slide. 9mm magazine will block its movement. On another hand you can use PCR stop with Kadet slide, but it will not keep it open after last round.

Thank you.

But you can (and in most cases should) use the PCR Slide Stop when using your KADET Kit on you PCR Lower
In the past, CZ sent you a PCR Slide Stop for use with your KADET if you ask
-
They will send you Kadet Stop FOR PCR and that is the one I had to modify.

Thanks for the part number. This will come in handy. I have a CZ 75 compact (Czechoslovakia made) and recently acquired a NIB PCR. The slide stop from my Kadet II kit was too tight initially but I lessened the stop diameter by carefully sanding this down to establish function in my old CZ75 Compact. This modified Kadet II slide stop will fit in the PCR but not function at all. The PCR slide stop will fit the Kadet assembly but does not hold open on an empty Kadet II magazine. Interestingly, my empty Compact CZ magazines will not hold the slide open in the PCR. I think I can remedy this with new followers (like the ones in my PCR) inthe older magazines. I wish it was as easy a fix for the Kadet II magazines.

This is my experience also. Called and they sent out the correct slide stop no questions asked

Thanks to all weighing in on this thread. A nice lady in the parts dept of CZ USA said they would send the slidestop to me under warranty. Will see if I have to do Leshka's modification. She was also nice enough to lookup the plastic baseplate part to enable shortening the Kadet magazine.

As a follow-up, I finally received my Kadet PCR slidestop. The first order was apparently never sent out from Kansas but it's finally here and at no charge. Thanks to all who posted and helped me out in this thread. Instead of Leshka's modification, I lessened the tension on the slide stop retaining spring just a little as suggested by a couple of different threads in this Kadet forum. Function checked with snap caps and achieved hold open on empty magazines. I'll have to try this at the range to be sure but it looks like this'll do the trick. It also looks like this new slidestop will also work with the 9 mm PCR slide. Thank Leshka for starting this thread.

Hey Compact User
Glad to hear you have your issue sorted out
Let us know how it range tests
OH, and by the way .... Welcome to the Forum

Thanks again to all of you. Finally got to take my Compact and unfired PCR to the range (life, unfortunately gets in the way of things you really want to do). Anyhow, with the Kadet 2 slide in place, both frames were able to cycle 22lr ammo (CCI minimags) without a hitch. No malfs and the slide held open on an empty magazine in all instances. Happy camper here.
