Title: Vz58 feeding with OT 8M3 "effect"
Post by: CitizenPete on February 13, 2017, 12:45:27 PM
Does anyone have any feedback on vz.58 feeding and cycling with the SGammo/Tulammo-boxed Uly 8M3 bullet rounds with the open tip?  I would imagine there should not be any issue feeding and cycling.  Picked up a case for storage and for home defense AKM, so I will be testing with SA, CAI vz2008, and OOW Vz2000 eventually.  This: http://www.sgammo.com/product/tula/1000-round-case-762x39-8m3-124-grain-hollow-point-ammo-made-ulyanovsk-cartridge-works-u

Glad to see that SG Ammo worked with Tula to revive the 8M3 round for export to the US, which for some incomprehensible reason had been missing from Russian import for many years, since the days of Sapsan and Ulyanovsk white box "Effect" 8M3 ammo.

SG is the exclusive source of 8M3 for the next year of so -- a particularly nasty, fragmenting self-defense round at a low price. EVERYBODY should buy a case or two, minimum. This is the effective SHTF ammo you can buy cheap and stack deep!

Don't see why 8M3 wouldn't feed in a Vz if your Vz can digest any other Com Bloc 7.62x39 HPs.
