Hey all! Any idea about the availability of the stainless versions of the 75b? I've been having a heck of a time finding one! Thanks in advance.

CZ's eb and flow. I've been looking casually for these and had no luck. You looking for matte or polished? I'll go take a swag at a deeper search if you're serious about taking whatever is left out there. Otherwise it may be worth waiting for a batch to arrive. How long have you been prowling? I just started casually looking a week ago.... Not sure how long the dry spell has been.
-
contacted CZ several weeks ago.......I've been looking for 4 months, daily.....CZ said most likely it wouldn't be until about March-April before they start showing up for sale at dealers. The stainless CZ's are their most backordered firearm at this time.....you may be able to find a used one, but many private sellers don't want to ship, or they are asking tooooo much for them for me to be interested. Save your pennies so when they do start showing up again your ready to snap one up :)
-
I've seen 1 polished and 2 matte/bead blasted or whatever they are here in San Antonio. Each time I see one I consider buying it.

I should clarify, my preference is a Polished one.....the Satin ones can be found, but less and less as time goes on.....the Polished are non-existent, unless you just happen across one by accident ::) Sometimes I just get the feeling CZ has too many models to really keep up with production on them all, so these droughts seem to be occurring more often and for longer periods :(
-
I'm looking for a polished one as well. I've truly been looking for about 12 months pretty regularly. As mentioned previously, I have found some pre-owned ones that are in good shape, but are crazy spendy.

Whats a decent price for a used polished stainless?
I'm seeing 700 which seems a bit ridiculous.

Just checked that. Thanks for the notice. Looks like it has 11 bids at this point, and shows just shy of $700. 2 days to go. I didn't know anything about this Limited Edition model which was sand blasted, not exactly the old style stainless, but a pretty piece with wood grips either way.

I wish the polished were in stock somewhere. Haven't been able to find any other than on the used market.

Because those of us that have one really wont part with them for much less than new, especially with any extras. Longer beaver tail and ambi safety as std are reasons we have them to begin with at least in my case. Actually traded a stainless 75 anniversary edition for mine.

The Georgia dealer ?Aggressive Guns? never has these polished stainless in stock, I?m not sure why they keep relisting it, the Oklahoma dealer actually does have it in stock, they are a little heavy on fees and shipping though, but if you want the satin stainless it is available.

On a brighter note I was able to pick up a used polished stainless in excellent condition pretty much LNIB at new price, but whatcha gonna do after a lifetime (seemingly) of looking....really just 4+ months of looking and a few near deals along the way.....I?ve got ideas ::) on upgrades to match its looks.....will post in the Gunsmithing section in the next few weeks ;)
-
I look forward to reading about your upgrades. I have a pending deal on a used Shadow (SKU 91715). If it falls through, I?m going to buy a stainless. I?ll upgrade it as funds permit.

Honestly, it was just religiously searching daily on several gun sights as well as sights that search gun sights, like Gunwatcher.com as an example.....I left notifications at probably 20 sights so I'm sure sometime in the future I'll be hearing from all of them ::) . The one I ended up with was from a shop in Florida via Armslist, I live in Colorado. Turned out to be from the shop owners personal collection, great guy. Searching in general I found was a bit tricky, meaning not as straight forward as one might think.....sometimes I would enter "CZ 75" and it was enough other times nothing would come up but if I entered "CZ 75B" or "CZ 75 B" then things would come up that didn't before......adding the word "stainless" helped sometimes, sometimes not........the search parameters on different sights I came to find out made it a bit tedious at times. The reality is people that list things, don't necessarily do so in the way one might search for it so try different formats like the examples I mentioned. Hope this helps........ ;)

Thanks I have been finding what you've described. Spaces, dropping the "B" etc have led me to differing results.
I'll keep looking.

I worked with my LGS ( 2 of them) for about a year, before I decided to buy one on line, and pay the transfer fee. I was able to save enough on line to offset the 65 dollar transfer ( 50 trans, 15 NICS).
CZ appears to build items in batches. When I was looking, the high polish was more available than the flat stainless that I prefer.
I notice some dealers are more prone to receive the CZ items than others. There is a "supply" store in Rhode Island that gets good stock.
I found them hitting stores last September. They dried up by October, so based on other cycles I watch with CZ, March or April sounds reasonable.
Move fast when you find it. They sell very fast.
Good luck
Rich

Just a heads up Oak hill guns has a matte stainless 75B on their web page now available.
-
LGS has had a Matte on the shelf for a couple of months now. It's taking all my willpower not to put it in layaway.
-
I expect my Matte Stainless to hit the FFL tomorrow or the day after. It was a GunBroker auction that relisted immediately, so either the seller was sitting on a few of them or I'm going to open up the box and find a brick.
-
If you're LE or Military, there's one on Gunbroker as of 1/29/18.

There 'were' two on GunBroker. I won the Polished one, and someone just bought the Stainless one there. But I checked Oak Hill Guns website, the same one that had the Stainless one on GB, and it shows still available. It may be one and the same, and the website hasn't been updated. I would jump on it right away. Here's the link.

Bet that was Oak Hill. I saw they sold one, then another appeared. I would have grabbed it if I didn't have my sights set on the Polished one which came up last night at 2a. Also, better price on the Stainless if you can find one.

Yup I won it. Went over my limit by $100. I was debating stopping and grabbing the one from Oak Hill, but it was just too pretty to give up.
There were 3 of us originally. Were you bidding on it?

Thought about it because I really wanted a polished...and had just found a stainless a week ago but from what I've been hearing is that CZ is actually planning on supplying much more of their demand this year. Hopefully that means the polished will come into stock at local dealers where I don't need to pay such a huge markup.
I had debated putting a bid and just going to bed but ended up not. Glad you won it. A little jealous to be honest.

Picked it up today and it was not a brick. Very happy!

Yes exterior. I did not know until I asked. I going to leave the hammer, new sights, and barrel bushing black to add a bit of contrast.I have cz cocobolo grips to install as well.

Yep.
Looks nice.
Now try finding a polished one. They are truly unicorns at the moment.

I came across a pre-owned shiny stainless 75 today. My local shop has a huge collection being sold on consignment. Lots of desirable guns.
I was invited in the back to see them all, and I almost couldn't believe my eyes... There were a couple Nighthawks, Baers, rare Colt 1911s, wartime stuff, Wilsons, and etc. There was just one CZ in the 40+ handguns in the collection - a shiny stainless 75B.
I had one a few years ago but traded it towards a Les Baer that I wanted quite badly. The price they had on it was very fair. It has a few light scratches, but not bad at all. Has the box and 3 mags with it.
I've been thinking about selling my 97B for a long time, I just don't shoot it much, so I left it on consignment to use towards the 75. I'll be much happier.
-
Guns international has a matte stainless for sale....
-
I don't know where you're located, but Hoffman's Guns in Newington, CT (Guns for the good guys) has one in their rental collection that they have a $749 price tag on. Seems too expensive for me. I just bought a matte/brushed ss special edition (cocobolo grips, tritium sights) for $729.
-
Wow, $800 for a used matte stainless 75... I should list my glossy stainless model and see what happens..

I just bought a high polished stainless 75B with 5 mags for $800. These things are like unicorns. If you want one, get ready to pay the price for it. I should be delivered tomorrow.
I fell in love with these CZ's after I bought my 75B Omega.
Next, I need a Tristar C-100.
Baby steps... ;)

Did you buy it new?
Care to share? I'm still looking for one.
I'm guessing since it came with 5 mags I'm thinking used.
Supposedly CZ is going to catch up on stainless orders. I heard that directly from CZ though I'm not sure how believable it is.
The matte stainless has been around recently. Just no polished.
-
The polished ones are beautiful and hard to find for sure. I found one on GunBroker a month or so ago, but it wasn't cheap. The stainless ones do show up much more often, and you could have it polished by Cajun or Accurate Weapons Platting.

I just nabbed a matte stainless for way too much. I bought the regular 75b right before the matte popped up. The stainless feels way better in my hand, and the trigger is lighter. They are different guns, for sure!

Yes "Lightly Used"... ;)
Of course, now that I've bought this one CZ will import a boat load of them for 6 Bills each...
But I don't care. I wanted one, now I have it. BTW, three of the mags that came with it are the stainless or nickel (?) (Shiny) mags

Went to a local pawn shop last week and put a Beretta on layaway. Went back there a couple days later to pay some of it off and decided to see if they got anything new in. Then I saw that they had a polished 75b lightly used. Asked to look at it then told them I'll take it. The guy at the counter said that he just put that out last night right before they closed. Now I got two guns on layaway. Does anyone know how many polished stainless were produced? And I ended up getting it for $700 with 3 mags.

There is one on Gunbroker with a buy it now for $1150.
I think it's the same dealer.
I dunno. I know you have to pay to play but I prefer to buy from dealers who don't price gouge. It's a ~$700 gun. I'm sure someone will eventually buy it.

No, its not a $700 gun, not like a reg 75 B. These are rare, hard to find, uncommon and extremely beautiful. $1000 would be nicely priced, but its worth whatever someone will pay ultimately. These are beautiful CZs.

I agree that market price is not near 700...but the good dealers I know will sell it to me for 700 or 730 (whatever their normal price is).
They won't jack the price up on me because it's rare.
50%+ markup is too much for me.

That's a sweet deal if you have a shop with one, grab it up, esp if they're selling it for cheap.
From what I understand about the CZ plant in Czech. They limit the production of various models, so once they've completed that run, its done for the year.
I have one, and its probably gonna sit in the safe. Its too pretty to shoot.

I was looking to buy a polished stainless and talked to the local dealer about them. What I was told is that this is common for CZ guns. They ship a bunch to the US all at once and then those sell for a while until they start getting thin and then the dealers have to wait until they ship a bunch in again. So I was told that if I wait until they get a bunch shipped in I won't pay over retail price. (could even buy for less than retail if I want to buy on line.) But I just have to check with them every 2 weeks or so as they never know when they are coming in until a few weeks before they get here. I don't know how true this is but the local shop has been a dealer for a while so I figure they know what they are talking about.
PS The written price they gave me was $799.99.
When I called the gun shop today I got different information. I was told that they do not make as many of the SS and they are always more difficult to get but if I want one they will order it with no guarantees of when they will get it. The price is still the same though.

oops. Too late. It looks like they are coming in stock. I saw a few on Gunbroker today.
Hopefully the dry spell is over (and the price gouging).

I haven't found any of the big retailers showing one in stock.
One of the GB auctions is ending today, and as of this post, it's up over $900.

I'm gonna watch it and see how far it goes.
ETA: It just ended with $907...

Hopefully they're starting to trickle in. I purchased one from DeGuns last week only to have them call me and tell me that the website "updated" itself and put 2 back into inventory that weren't there. I spoke with Matt there and he called CZ and they told him that they are working on filling over 1500 orders to dealers here in the states....the wait continues...

I think they are trickling in now.
I had the same experience about a month ago.
Found one online and purchased it and was told it was an inventory error and credited my card.
The one I just bought is in transit to my FFL.
6 months I have been looking for one.
So maybe more are on their way to purchase.
Mine was just under 700 with shipping.
Good luck.

I hope they got an excess of SS bar stock and it finds it way over to the compact production line!

I just found one in stock here: https://www.facebook.com/367817903287558/photos/a.539425856126761.1073741866.367817903287558/1610078045728198/?type=3&theater
And I believe they will ship to your FFL.
-
Looks like deguns.net increased their price for this by $100 from $699 to $799 (they aren't in stock either)
-
Just picked one up Wednesday evening from Tombstone Tactical for $669 (the only one they had) and got my money refunded from the botched sale from DeGuns. Both companies seem very professional and easy to work with. It should be delivered to my FFL on Monday. I'll share some pics when I finally get my hands on it.

Didn?t have time yet to wipe/buff it all off good.

I got one too.
I'll be honest I'm not the most impressed with the finish. I was expecting better. I probably shouldn't, knowing CZ's finishing standards. Plus it's only marginally more expensive than the matte which is probably just media blasted. Polishing is a much more time intensive task.
I ended up buffing the front face of the slide to see what difference it would make. My own buffing was significantly better than theirs.
Next time maybe I just buy a matte stainless and send it out for polishing.
Nevertheless I still like the gun. I may like the matte better now.

I?m fine with the finish on mine. It is what I expected. If I want it to be a perfect mirror finish to shave with I can always use mother?s mag.
No big deal. Lol
But I do understand completely you want a mirror finish and did not get a mirror finish.

I have problems.
I started polishing all the little pieces that CZ did not.
The slide stop spring pin (exposed end)
The hammer pivot pin
The hammer pivot pin retaining pin (you can see it in the pic)
Sear cage (rear)
My CGW parts are going in as well. Polishing up a stainless race hammer.
Polishing the ends of the CGW floating trigger pin

Ah yes. I have a CZ problem.
I finished up my polished tonight.
7.0 pound double action
2 pound 9 ounce single action
It'll lighten up a bit once I pull the trigger a few times. Letting the loctite cure on the trigger and sear first.
Some pics. This gun is pretty difficult to take pics of. Excuse the closeups. I didn't wipe off the oil before taking them.
Pics are of some areas I polished that the factory did not.
This is a full Cajun gun.
Pro kit
Stainless race hammer
full length guide rod
10x bushing
Czub black grips

Hey Uderwhere-- you started mentioning something about a problem, but never stated it ??? Perhaps you got distracted from polishing or something and didn't finish your post. ;)
I font recall that. No issues. Just probably too much excitement from finding one or waiting for one. I didn't find the finish quality the best. Maybe that was it.
Look at the first 3 words in post 111 from you. That is what I was trying to joke about. I often make "funnies" that are only funny to me. :'(

Nice job!! I really like the aluminum black grips with the high polish. I have the coco bolo on mine but dang those are sharp!

Looks good! I did notice yours has the hole for the guide rod. What is the production year for it?

I added that guide rod and drilled the hole. It is 2018 production.

She shinned up beautifully! Nice job! That wax is the best IMHO. I put three coats on mine. A little of this wax goes a long way.
And I still love those black aluminum grips. I think i am going to change wood ones out. I love the thinner grips on CZ`s. They just feel more comfortable for me to shoot for some reason. I have them on my PCR that is my everyday carry pistol . Cant have those stock ones gripping on my clothing. The rubber sticks like glue on clothing.

FYI...held a Matte SS 75B today here in New Orleans, at Puglia?s Sporting Goods (Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA). I was shocked to see it, as they are hard to find. The matte finish wasn?t quite what I thought it would be, but it was nice, and the price was $749 (NIB)
If anyone is interested, give them a call, as they don?t have an online store, but it was there as of about 2:30 today.
Just thought I?d share the find, maybe someone will snatch it up!

Good Job on the polishing..What you did is a excellant example of what one can do if he takes his time, is careful, and most importantly, knows exactly what he's doing..Over at the HK Pro board, in the handgun forum, there's a thread titled " Royal Blue P7M13" I'd suggest folks take a look at that, as it's an example of what NOT to do..you'll notice how the edges of the slide are all now rounded, and none of the lines on the pistol are straight.. Who ever did this, clearly did'nt know how to polish a pistol, and what's worse, he chose a rare, expensive pistol to try his skills (or lack of them) on.. There's a lesson here, if you don't know how to do something like polish a pistol correctly, don't do it, take it to somebody who does..

Thanks for the vote of confidence.
I will need to give credit to CZ. This is a factory polished gun. I did however clean up the gun by polishing areas I thought weren't perfect.
I do know what you mean though. It's very easy to go nuts on edges with Emory cloth, rounding them away.

I just found a polished stainless. It will cost me $775 after shipping and transfer though. I might just keep looking in pawn shops and gun stores for a nice used one since it?s fun anyways. In my travels I did find a NIB Cold War Commemorative for $650. Should I buy it? Decisions

This is my first stainless pistol, got it two weeks ago from CZ Customs for $1180. I had asked the website when these were in stock, I got an e-mail notification, placed an order that day, showed 5 in stock. Checked two days later, out of curiosity, and showed zero in stock! It has a custom trigger, sights, and grips. 3.2 lbs trigger pull.
PS: I thought I could figure out how to insert a picture, but, no.

hey guys, new to this forum. i just order my polished one at deguns at around $800, this is not including the ffl fee, is it too expensive to get for now.
little off topic, my history of cz is 1year ago i saw a polished 75b picture on website, and though it is beautiful, then went to a store take a look. they dont have high polished one in stock, but i saw a sp01 in there too, handled both the standard sp01 and black 75b. i found the sp01 is more comfortable in my hands, and shoot better than the 75b at the range. went home search a bit, and knew stainless 75b is harder to find. cant find any polished one online but i found a matt 75b, even its not what i want at 1st. however, like i said both matt and polished stainless are hard to find, then placed order for both sp01+matt 75b. now 1year later, i saw some polished on deguns website, so i placed the order i stated in the beginning. dont know if it worth or not, just want one. and basically i dont use them, just shoot it to test if it function fine, then take it apart, clean it, then lock it up. since i already have other gun as home defense gun.
after i pick up this polished one, i then have 3 cz. if you guys like some pictures, i can upload it later.

I had my 75BD all slicked up and just Like I wanted it with sights, trigger pull etc but I wanted a stainless CZ.
I decided was to just get mine coated as I have a friend close by that will do it and since they don't make a CZ decocker in stainless, I got just what I wanted.
It looks better than this picture!

deguns.net has 4 matte in stock and and 15 polished. go to gundeals for information on how to price match it (instantly, over the internet, no hassle or delay) and for a code to get free shipping.
I just ordered a matte one using that method, added $12 for insurance because I'm a sucker and it was still only $637. If you want to look like a 70's pimp with the high polish it costs $25 more. pimpin aint easy

It?s the price match on DE guns, just click the price match button instead of the add to cart button, and put in a super low price. Then insert a link in the url box and you?re gtg

I just grabbed one of the polished stainless! I paid WAY more for my matte, and thought I was lucky to even find one. Anyone else notice these are made a little nicer than the regular black 75b? My matte had a great trigger right out of the box.
Fingers crossed nothing goes wrong with the order. Thanks guys!!!

what url exactly u put in?the url of gundeal? or do i have to find a competitor who have the gun available. and this is the thing confused me.

You can just put Guns.com in if you want. Pretty sure no one is really checking. I scored one of the Matte stainless models for $624.99 with free shipping. I hope it is as nice as my High polish model. Now I have to get some Matte finish base pads.

Well lots of people pay over $900 on Gunbroker, so don?t feel stupid. Next time you make a purchase, do some research on historical pricing to decide what you are willing to pay, and then be patient. GLTY

i knew many people pay over $900.
what made me feel so bad is i HAVE already checked the price on gundeals, and i knew the average price is about $650. however, i know this gun is not easy to find, so im afraid it would gone. plus, when i get to my local ffl to fill out paperwork, i was told they raised the transfer fee from$25 to$50. well, you know i got my last gun overthere like 2 months ago, the transfer fee was $25. :(

Anyone else notice these are made a little nicer than the regular black 75b? My matte had a great trigger right out of the box.
I bought my polished one used and the trigger is the best of any of my other CZ handguns. I actually wondered if the previous owner (who I do not know) had trigger work done on it.

i disagree with you, the polished one is not the best one of 75 serial. i just picked my polish one today, it has the worst trigger of all my cz75. my experience is the sp01 has the best trigger pull, then the matt 75b. i can not say about the standard black 75b since i dont own it.

Well I really wasn't saying that for a fact the stainless triggers are better than the carbon steel CZs, I was just saying that IS the case with my CZs. Since the one poster "wondered" if that was the case generally I thought that perhaps he was right since my stable seems to agree with that.
I own 7 CZ handguns and the only one that comes close to my stainless is the old police trade in "Pre B" model...in fact they may be closer to being tied.
What is funny is that opposite to your experience, my SP01 Tactical has the worst trigger among the 7 (though it has smoothed up some albeit with MUCH dry firing, with snap cap in the chamber of course). ...I'm guessing it is probably luck of the draw (and perhaps the previous owner of my stainless did have some trigger work done to it, I don't know one way or the other.)
-
I think CZ's vary so much that you can't make too many assumptions on trigger quality.
-

Agreed and it really shouldn't be that way IMO. They are not inexpensive firearms (though I think they are under appreciated and you get a lot for your money, especially compared to many other brands). It has been my experience that all firearms manufacturers of late need better quality control...Well at least those I have had personal experience with.

Agreed. Especially with CZ. Good thing the aftermarket parts market fixes their deficiencies.
My opinion on CZ's is that they have huge potential, more so than other guns. Out of the box they aren't necessarily that great.
