Title: CZ-70 trigger job

I recently bought a CZ-70 for my daughter. The trigger pull both DA and SA are very heavy which is a problem for her. Are there any pointers for cleaning up the trigger pull?

I like it pretty well. I carry a PPK as does my wife. Both my daughters really like the PPK, but they are tough to find in .32 acp. The CZ-70 is only slightly bigger and has very similar fit and function. The springs are way heavy though. I replaced the recoil spring with one from a PPK and that made a big difference. Polishing the hammer spring rod helped with the trigger pull.

Wouldn't a lighter spring increase the likelihood of a "light strike" FTF? And what would be the lightest weight spring to use? And where could a "spring gauge" be had to borrow as to buy one for one use would not be real smart...$50 and higher...

We put the Harrington Products firing pin and trigger enhancement kit in my wife's vz.70.  What a difference it made!  It lightens the trigger to a very usable weight.   DEFINITELY worth the $45. 

The only downside of this kit is that the decocker MAY ignite a round in the chamber, but if you use the pinch and lower method of dropping the hammer, you will be good to go.

Ja, I've got the Harrington also...and considering having my 'smith arcweld a small bump to prevent the safety from being put on decock...never did like the concept anyway. To each their own,but for me...it's either safe, or fire.
