CZ CLONE CLUB / Jericho 941 FS - Replace lanyard hammer pin
« Last post by north86 on March 20, 2025, 01:02:05 PM »
Hi All.

I am looking to replace my hammer spring pin on my IMI Jericho 941 FS.  This is the pin at the base of the grip that has a little key ring on it for a lanyard loop.    I want a flush pin, so I can get rid of the grips that I have.

Any spares floating around?   Suggestions on a replacement part?

TIA

Well, by all means, do not avail yourself to the technological leap forward of handgun optics.

It really bothers you that someone might like something different than you doesn't it? They really are no great leap forward just a new iteration of the old laser sights and scopes from decades ago. I tried a couple rentals with rd sights and personally have no interest but if others like them then to each his own.

I don't want optics on my CZ's!  All of min shoot fine with the sights CZ gave them from my first CZ 82 to my latest CZ P-09C Nocturne.

Well, of course CZ won’t offer an OR option for their legacy CZ75 and CZ75 Compact lines — that they built their company and reputation on  — that would make entirely too much sense!

We’ll just have to buy more CZ75s and spend extra time and money getting them machined for optics. But it’ll be worth it in the long run.
I'm glad they've left the original versions the way they are. There is a decocking  and OR ready version of the Shadow 2 in the pipeline. Maybe if you spent more time reading instead of complaining you'd know that.

Most of my handguns are DA / SA Compact and Sub Compact carry pistols, and decockers rather than safety models. Even if CZ came out with a OR decocker version of the Shadow 2 Compact, that gun is going to retail for at least $1,450.00 compared to @ $650 for a P-01. So would it be worth an extra $800 to get an OR decocker CZ Compact? Why not just offer an OR version of the P-01 for a couple hundred bucks more?

I mean, I’m sure the fancy grip, etc. and the bling-bling factor of the Shadow 2 are nice and all, but these days I’d rather spend the extra $$$ on ammo.

I had two Alphas, 2261 and 3541, accurate, cheap and reliable. But revolvers are not my favorite weapons.
2261 - 22lr, 6inch barell
3541 - 38/357, 4 inch barell

A Day at the Range! / Re: CZ P10S Range Day

A couple years ago my wife and I went to the range.  I forgot the targets in the trunk of the other car and didn't think of it till we were getting our stuff out of the car to go to the office to sign in.  I mentioned we'd forgotten our targets and the guy running the office that day walked over to a country and got several sheets of printer paper and a partial roll of 1" diameter target pasters.

We thanked him and walked over to the pistol range.  Put a paster in the center of each piece of paper and stapled four of them up on each cardboard backer and put them in the racks for 7 to 9 yd. shooting.  Worked great.  Cheap targets.  I went home and ordered a pack of printer paper and a bunch of 1" diameter pasters.

Joe, we all know some guns just do a better job than others.  The fit/feel in our hand, the accuracy, the reliability, the way we feel when we carry/shoot them (or even clean/lube them if you're like me.

You have a bond to those accurate hammer fired guns.  I've moved from hammer fired (P07/P09/P01, etc) to striker fired (M&P 5" .40 and Shield Plus 9MM).  Not because they are more accurate or reliable but they do feel good in my hands and parts are so easy to find/buy/install.  The Shield Plus is a great shooting little pistol.  For a good while I kept carrying my P07 when I was by myself and I'd carry the Shield Plus when I was with my wife.  Only because her Equalizer uses the same mags as the Shield Plus.  If my wife was still carrying her CZ75 Compact I'd be carrying my P01.

I know I'd enjoy trying some of the things you do but I probably never will.  I do get a kick out of reading about it when you post about a range trip.

I realize that this is an old thread, but it's directly related to a pistol that I'm interested in.  I was looking at purchasing a Sig P226 in 9mm and ran across the Arex Rex Zero 1 S as an alternative.  They're available on GunBroker for $371 delivered to me.  Are there any updates on them?  Are these still worth purchasing?
trigger pull sucks, but otherwise a solid gun

One very quick way to get a smaller group is to aim at a very small "bullseye". This tactic plays to the quirks of the human eye and how the brain perceives targets.

It doesn't need to be anything fancy. Drop a marker into your range bag and next time draw a 3" black dot in the target's corner or backside. You'll be amazed !!

All the best.
