Mec-Gar is the golden standard for aftermarket magazines. However, I have heard some good things about Act-mags. Have any of you here had any experiences with this mag brand?

No knowledge of Act-Mag magazines...
but why go with them over the "gold standard"?

Exactly.

By once, cry once.  No one has ever regretted spending the money for top-shelf magazines.

If you buy five, you can buy the bundle for $190.

I bought five of these nickel-plated ones 5 or 6 years ago.  Perfect mags.  Would choose the same again.

Greg Cote has Mec-Gar mags for $2 more than the Act mags at Brownells. For $2 difference I wouldn't even consider the Act mags. Mec-Gar is the only way to go regardless.
