I had a similar problem with another gun it would not cycle the first round off mag no matter what and after inspectin in some better light I noticed my firing pin
was sticking and hitting the casing when cycling after a disassemble and metal friendly work it's been trouble free ,  I had a few hic ups with my B model Rami
and I typically polish my feed ramps on all my Autos with a felt/muslin tip on my flex shaft (fancy dremel) using Tripoli rouge  like mentioned the short guns are fussy , Kinda scary to do but if I am solving problems I hand rack a full mag vigorously  out in my back yard and have the notion if it does that trouble free it will shoot.

Your Rami is a 2018  I would think CZ would not give you any grief if it comes to that

Try polishing the breach face to remove any burrs  around the firing pin hole. I had feeding issues and the polishing resolved them.

Examining your fired brass will help troubleshoot breach face problems as well.  Look for rough spots on the edge of the base/rim. Also, nicks or dents on the rim could indicate extractor related issues.  Look for anything that can add resistance or slow the slide.

I can see in the photos the gun got wiped down pretty nice, not sure the attention you paid to the extractor, double check that it is moving smoothly and freely and not putting too much pressure on the brass.

Also look at the surface opposite of the extractor, sometimes a buildup or poor finishing can result in added resistance.

With the slide off, you can slide cases up into place under the extractor and feel for spots of increased friction or resistance too.

As an example, I had a gun come in with tool marks opposite of the extractor. If was failing to go into battery every third or fourth round, but would get close enough, some pressure from my thumb would drive it home.  We tried springs, cleaning, chamber polishing, to no avail. We saw rough spots on the rims of the fired brass and tracked it back to the tool marks.  A little work to clean them up, and 100% reliable.

I spoke with CZ customer service today and they were super professional. They sent me a RMA and FedEx label. I will have the gun out for shipment tomorrow. Hopefully it?s a quick turn around. I will post with an update when I get the gun back. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for all of the replies and suggestions. Nice group of folks here.

I had a similar issue with a brand new Rami, although not nearly as bad.  I sent it back to the mfg., in St Louis,  (Someone correct me if this is wrong),  I eventually had to send it back twice, but just hit the 1,000 round with no malfunctions of any kind.  The last 200 rounds were fired without cleaning it.  Don't mess around, send it back.  Call them first; they may not charge, as they are good people.  Even if they do charge, this thing is a great gun if working properly.  I guess you have discovered why the previous owner sold it.  I tried all the cleaning things and a stronger magazine spring in the 14 rounder.  As noted in shooting 200 rounds without cleaning with no issues, when it works, it works.  Don't mess around, send it to CZ.
Frog.

Thanks Frog. I spoke with CZ on the phone and they were very pleasant. Sent me a RMA and Fedex shipping label. Sent the gun off last week and I am hoping for a a fix and quick return.
I really like the pistol and am sure that CZ will make it right.
