I have both, and love both. The granular are from springer Precision, the Talons are the rubberized.

The rubberized is much more comfortable. For an EDC is the only way to go. At the range, however, I much prefer the Springers.

Whichever way you go, you?ll love them.

I’ve got a few CZ’s...

I'd prefer the granular but I know it probably wouldn't feel all that great abrading on my love handles.

I carry appendix and love the rubber grips and have them on all my handguns. I personally prefer traction grips over talons but I've owned both. The glue I think has improved on the talons which is why I switched to traction but now I prefer them over talons for how they are cut.

Hmmmmm.   Well, I'll have to check out the Traction grips also then.

I see that CZ Custom also has grip tape panels.   Anyone else know of any others out there that they like?

I used to carry a P-07 in a IWB holster and preferred rubber then.  Switched to a RAMI in an AIWB and also switched to granulated. I like granulated especially if handled with wet hands or one hand.  I cut my own grip out of 3M safety grip tape these days and it is on all my pistols. The lone exception is my Shield 2.0 which has pretty aggressive texture already.

Do you find that the granulated abrades against your skin when you carry your RAMI Benq?

I should clarify...

So my grip on almost all my pistols has my knuckles over the side panel so not much grip there. Majority of my grip pressure is on the front and back straps.  That is where I have grip tape.  I started out with rubber from ebay/amazon but my perspiration in the AZ heat made them slicker.  So I when to granulated front and back straps.  I purchased a roll of 3m safety tape($11 for 15ft) tape and replace them as needed.  In fact, I just replaced the back strap piece for tonight's Steel match.

This setup did irritate my skin in the beginning but I've lost some weight and now there is no muffin top to irritate.  I also went from IWB at 8 o'clock to AIWB at 1 o'clock. I can conceal up to a P-07 but I'd rather carry my Shield 2.0. BTW, has aggressive texture and no need to modify.
