Storing Magazines Using Harbor Freight Magnetic Tool Holder
« on: October 29, 2018, 03:00:33 PM »
Storing and organizing magazines for easy retrieval gets messy.

An inexpensive, easy-to-install wall storage system (or for on the inside of your safe door, if you have room) can be built using the 18" Harbor Freight magnetic tool holder. These retail for $5 ($4 with 20% off) but sometimes are given away free with another purchase.

Simply attach to the wall. Add a length of 1"x1" aluminum angle or even a piece of wood below so the mags have a shelf to sit on, and you're done. If you used wood, you could put labels on the wood edge below the mags to remind you which mags go where.

For all plastic mags, you're on your own.

One inch round magnets from eBay work just as well. No need for the ?shelf?, the magnets hold mags fine

My testing with a different magnet brand showed that the magnet worked great on empty mags, but loaded ones were simply to heavy...I didn't think of the aluminum shelft though.

I have these on the inside of my safe door. They hold a couple of fully loaded steel AR mags and AK mags in handy, otherwise wasted, space.

I use 1 inch rare earth magnets. The hold full 9mm but need 2 for full 44 mag DE and SAR45.
When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?

Why use 911 when it's faster to use 1911 or 9mm?
