New Shadow 2, takedown lever moves?!?
« on: January 19, 2019, 12:46:57 PM »
Hello All,

Picked up my new Shadow 2 this week.

Field strip, cleaned and lube it, first range visit tomorrow.

Playing around with it I noticed that when I rack the slide the takedown lever comes out a little bit.

I can fit a .035 feeler gage behind it.

I can easily press the takedown lever back in  but racking the slide again it pops back out.

This is my first CZ so I don't know, should I be concerned or is it the nature of the beast?

Thanks for your time,

Varooom

Thanks for that jmck,

I see the spring (wire) that pops into the grove in the takedown lever.
Mine is definitely popping in there so I don't see how it could come out any more than it does.

Does not look like it should be a concern just wondering if it moves on anyone else's weapon?

Thanks again,

Varooom

Mine does the same. Shadow 2 with about 3000 rounds through it. It settles in with about a .020 gap. Nothing to worry about.
