SP-01 with CGW pro package upgrade - 11 lb mainspring [black.]

NRA trigger hang weights hold 2.75, break at 3 lb

All ammo 124-126 gr bullets

Factory American Eagle [Federal primers] and Winchester white box bulk pack 100% reliable,  sights centered better with AE.  Cycled fine with factory recoil spring.

Using reloads, coated bullets and 3.8-4.0 gr WW231 powder I installed 13 lb recoil spring.  All reloads use Federal primers.

50 ft on B-27R PPC target centers I was able to hold X ring off sandbags with LSWC bullets.  POI is high but it's easy to hold at bottom of X ring on these targets giving me good center.  Offhand my groups slid to the left; common for my guns to have rear sight pushed to right so this was not unexpected.  Must be my eyes/hold etc.

Going to load up 200 rds of Missouri coated SWC with 3.9 gr and try this in a 60 rd PPC match this month.
When time allows I will chrono these loads and fine tune COL and charge weight.  Brass seemed to eject fine, might go +/- 1 lb on the spring as I get more rounds thru the gun.

But first time out I am quite pleased with the performance.

I'm curious about the MB coated bullets, I bought a bunch of them last year (115 or 124/5 - I'd have to go look at the boxes) but just never get around to loading them up.  Gotta get through the .223 and .40 S&W loading first.

I bought some of the cone 124s from MBC as well, they shot quite good at 50 yd from my Ruger carbine.

I had polished the CZ feed ramp before shooting, I saw no sign of lead or copper buildup in ramp, chamber, or bore areas after ~100 rounds.  Take care when seating coated bullets so as not to scrape off surface.  Need to play with case mouth expander etc and have the bullet straight up for seating die.

I have gone to a Lyman M die on Dillon 650 for much better lead bullet loading.  Use after powder charge station, adjust funnel for zero expansion.  Can't do this on 550.

The only CZ I've had feed issues with was the Urban Gray P01.  Every now and then a PD 115 grain hollow point would hit the feed ramp and come to a dead stop.  It had a small groove across it that I couldn't see through the black coating, but I could feel it with my finger nail.

A Dremel, a small sanding drum attachment, some sanding and then polishing with a Dremel felt drum/lapping compound and it's mirror smooth/shiny and not a single failure to feed since.

I've only shot a few lead rounds through the 9MM CZ's and so far, no coated bullets.  Just LRN and LSWC.  And, to be honest, only through a couple of the 9MM (P09 and CZ75 Compact).  I need to get some 9MM test ammo loaded up so find out what the CZ's really like. 

I've got a good lead bullet load for the .40 S&W CZ's, but so far I've not found anything comparable for the 9MM pistols.  Got some different bullets (styles and weights) and powders (fast to slow, ball and flake), just need to get on it.

Years ago I bought a large assortment of Cratex points and mandrels, these cannot be beat for feed ramp work.
Fine and XF are all you need for 90% of jobs, medium helps for rough machining marks.  Coarse is aggressive.

Out of the box my CZ had some copper residue from the proof loads on the ramp - motivated me to polish although truth be told I have started polishing every bbl ramp as SOP.

Where do you get your reduced power recoil springs? Are they flat wound like the originals?

You can get music wire main springs (round wire) from CGW or CZC. 

If your tuning your loads CGW has a kit with each weight spring.  CZC might also but I'm not sure.

You can buy them individually also but the tuner pack is only 30 bucks.

They sell stainless steel guide rods also. Needs to be the model with the hole for it though.
